I agree with you completely why would they only have them for support when they have been playable in the past like Shizune or Anko...also Chojuro is support and I like his character.
Sakura will because she is good at hand to hand combat while Ino needs Shikamaru to perform his shadow possession jutsu to use her mind transfer jutsu.

But, who is the most ANNOYING of all of them??? My vote goes to Rock Lee he's mimics his sensei...
He won't die because Naruto could quit searching for Sasuke and that would destroy more than half of the possibilities for the story to progress in the series.

It would be a cool feature in the game also it would be cool if you are put in a story that fits your character almost like an interactive game I guess :D
