To be honest with you, I don't think a tad bit of english dub is much of a problem. You should be grateful that you have the game, and can play through it in Japanese.

Deva Path w/ Sage Naruto/Sage Jiraiya or Naruto/Jiraiya

...But support characters can give you an edge in battle. You should keep in mind that jutsu often vary in range, or targeting.
