Yea, basicly, thats what I ment with "clearing story mode"... You complete an event, at the place of the event drops a scroll, and you collect it, and you go to the ninja in the hokage's room.
Theres a ninja you can see in the hokage's room after you cleared the main story. You can talk to him to replay any of the missions you cleared in the story mode.
If you mean as actually "playing", then yes.
If you mean as "watching your own performance", then no.
The one that really made me wow was the Sasuke vs Itachi battle, because of the shurriken throwing part. Its overpowerd, yes, but it really did make me "wow, thats cool" while I was playing :).
