Unless certain bugs have been fixed, Itachi is the cheapest character in the game. Losing a level 2 ougi gives you a free hit. Hit taunt makes him invulnerable to item damage. His use of kage bunshin gives him a lot of infinites or semi-infinites. Even his air grab had a bug where it could be broken out of, but Itachi could simply repeat it and win through tick damage or until you finally allowed it to happen.

thats a good thing isnt it? if someone cheats with itachi like this then you gotta train and become better so you could beat him. would you rather beat everyone with equal strength or beat one of the hardest people in the game? at least the last one is a accomplishment

Well, not really.
The problem is, in the hands of a skilled Itachi player, no matter how good you are with anyone else, you have a less the 1% chance of winning. Because Itachi is that damn cheap and an Itachi player will exploit all those tactics.
ANBU Itachi has it. The problem with Itachi isn't his skill, it's the opponent's lack of it. It'll ruin the game because the only way of beating him is to also pick him, which means the game full of multiple characters with vast move lists and the myriad of possible tactics and combos is ignored in favour of who can air grab the other first. The same thing happens in other games where a character is so overpowered, the only way to beat them isn't to play the game but simply to repeat a cheesey, cheap move over and over - anyone who played Tekken 5 and faced Jinpachi Mishima will know this frustration.
