    Ps3 Question

    hello I own the 40 GB PS3 is there anyway I can get something that will allow me to play PS2 games on it?

    I'm not sure, but I think only a 20GB PS3 retains the backwards compatibility system.

    I thought the same thing, spent 400 on a system that can only play PS1 and PS3 games, if I would have known that I couldnt play my PS2 games I would have bought the 80 GB one, but why should I have to buy a certain system to get what I already used to have because like most of the PS3 owners I had bought the PS2 and sold it thinking "hey I should be able to play my PS2 games on it since when I bought the PS2 I could play my PS1 games on it. So Im just hoping there is something I can do to make it so I can play PS2 games on it.

    Sorry, you cannot play PS2 games on the 40GB PS3s. *Only 20GB/60GB models, and the 80GB model number CECHE01 can play the PS2 games.
