Ultimate Ninja 4: Naruto ShippudenUltimate Ninja 4: Naruto Shippuden, known in Japan as* (Naruto Shipp?den: Narutimetto Akuseru) is the fourth installment of the Ultimate Ninja series, and the first in the Accel series. It was released in Japan on April 5, 2007. The game introduces Naruto Shipp?den characters for the first time, featuring over 52 playable characters. The game covers the first 17 episodes of the Shippuden. Other changes include the introduction of fixed ultimate jutsu, which change as health decreases or if the player enters any secondary mode. The graphical style of the game has also been toned down, retaining the cartoon look but with much less pronounced cel-shaded animation. A feature titled Hero's History Mode has been added where the player is allowed to relieve the pre-time skip series. The levels must be unlocked by finding certain items while playing through the single-player aspect of the game. Hero's History Mode includes completely redone and improved scenes from Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 as well as redone CGI scenes.

The game will be seeing an English localization and release for the North American market in Spring 2009, entitled Ultimate Ninja 4: Naruto Shippuden.

Characters have not been made weaker. In other words the toughest characters haven't been made weaker, the reason,to make it more fair.

Concerning Master Mode

Its seems in Master mode you unlock money to unlock characters, you do missions, explore areas and do a lot of fighting.In this you fight mulptiple enimes at once and areas have platforming in them such as jumping over a rift by jump from rock to rock. The characters also seems to be able to use jutsu outside battle.Pronounced levels must be unlocked by finding certain items while playing through the single-player aspect of the game

Concerning Hero History Mode

Known as Hero mode this is where you go back to Part 1 Naruto story arcs and possibility unlock pt.1 characters. It seems that some scenes/battles must be unlocked first by finding fragments which are found in Master Mode.

Concerning Ougis/Ultimates

Other changes include the introduction of fixed ultimate jutsu,your character has 3 in battle now. Ougis are separated into 3 types.

There are 3 types of Ougis in the game:
1. Normal Ougis-The Ougis you start with.
2. Awakening Ougis-This one can be activated through certain requirements.
3. Reversal Ougis-Can be used after your health is below 50%.

Background In The Manga and Anime

Deidara was originally from Iwagakure, although he readily abandoned the village for the opportunity of using his "art" more frequently as his village ridiculed him for it. Deidara became an assassin bomber for hire, not caring who he worked with so long as he could use his artwork. Sometime after Orochimaru left Akatsuki, Deidara was located by Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, and Sasori, who were under the orders of the leader Pain to recruit him. Deidara refused at first, but was forced to join after being defeated by Itachi's Sharingan. Deidara, having taken a huge blow to his ego, carried a loathing for Itachi and other Uchiha for the rest of his life, though he was intelligent enough to recognize Itachi as a more powerful opponent.

Abilities In The Manga and Anime

A fancy and skillful fighter, Deidara possessed special mouths in the palm of each hand to create Exploding Clay, chakra infused clay that detonates with the command Katsu and a single-hand hand seal. This clay could be molded into a wide variety of shapes and forms, growing to large sizes when infused with chakra (with Deidara performing the necessary hand seals) and could be controlled at will. This allowed him to create living explosives to attack opponents at long range. Deidara could even create clones from the clay, named Suicide Bombing Clones, that could be a deadly surprise for opponents. Deidara's clay creations ranged from microscopic to gigantic in size, allowing him to adapt to any situation. Deidara could also use the clay for other purposes, as he was frequently seen creating birds to be used for transportation. It seemed he also knew standard earth-based jutsu as shown from his Earth Release: Mole Hiding Technique, which he used to avoid damage from one of his mass-scale bombs. However, he could potentially run out of clay if he used too much of it, leaving him vulnerable.

In addition to his clay-based abilities, Deidara was very intelligent, often using tricks, misdirection, and calculated gambles to get his explosives in range of an opponent. As a long-range specialist, he was weaker in close combat, but skilled enough to hold off a close combat specialists like Team Guy, handling a kunai in his mouth, and had a variety of techniques in his arsnal to escape close quarters when necessary. He also wore a scope on his left eye for long-range observation, and he had trained the eye itself to counter genjutsu, allowing him to see through and negate them. This was done in response to Itachi's powerful genjutsu skills, of which he had a considerable loathing and resolved to defeat if he got the chance. Deidara's abilities were well recognized within Akatsuki and the leader, Pain, openly admitted that he was something unique, and that his loss was a major blow to the group.

There appears to be a Master Mode where you do advanced missions and level up your characters, whether this is story mode or unlocked after you beat story mode, uncomfirmed.
