Not really new rps and rpers pop up all the time.* They're not near the quality they used to be, but still people are rping.* The horrible quality of the new rps is actually the main reason I posted this.

No offense, but your words of wisdom are rather wrong, cobdogred. You see, role playing may be just a game, but it isn't some video game. You could participate in a role play game at a 50-posts-a-day average, and still play the weakest known character in the entire story. Activity certainly does not determine anything, and actually, neither does being an old or new member, either. Plus, the whole role player leader situation? Here's how leading should be done...

Between the role play members and the role play leader(s), the wall separating the two should be slim. A regular member should honestly have just as many rights as a leader does. Of course, the leader still carries the responsibility of the role play game's management, but everything should still be fair for everyone.

Next off, not every role play game is Naruto. In fact, Naruto has been pretty unpopular around here, lately. Even though when there's a new Naruto RP, everybody fawns over it for a while. And stunts like cloning and substituting aren't against any codes of role playing that we consciously follow by, here. They may be looked down upon, though, and referred as "god modding" to some. However, if you're doing something important, like impaling an opponent in the chest with some sword, and you detail it very according... it would be an annoyance for the opponent to just brush it all off with a clone or something. Heads up? People don't like, nor like role playing with, people who do that.

Oh, and one more thing... you're not exactly the world renown expert when it comes down to role playing, cobdogred. Honestly, you're out of your generation. Role playing has evolved, since your time. Whether for the better, or for the worse, is for nobody to decide. However, there's nothing now, that can change it. Your methods and ways are outdated. So before spending so much time (and I assume hard work) on an advising post like that, maybe you should get yourself into a decent RP, and see how things flow? Hm?

That maybe how your rp works, but not mine.* If you don't want to have a fair situation in your rp that's your problem.* My "words of wisdom" aren't necessarily wrong, that is your opinion.

Just because you can make clones or use substitutions doesn't necessarily mean it's Naruto. **

Rp leaders also need to have more rights.* If they don't then the story line gets distorted to far.* I know every person adds, but the over all story must be the rp leaders.* If the rp leader can't control the story it's going to go in s many directions that it's going to get confusing and not worth rping.

Those are the kind of thoughts that have ruined RPs in the first place. Who wants to role play in an RP where their side of the story doesn't matter as much as someone elses? Nobody, I tell you. Some people have lost their motivation and will to RP because of this. RPing is more fun when everybody gets their fair share. What you're doing, is being selfish and greedy.

You, being a better RPer than me? I would argue that, but I won't. So let's just forget about that for now, before anything starts up, okay?

And by the way, I've seen how our role play games differ. If you were half as good as me, you'd know that the number of posts, in some cases, don't mean a thing. This is one of those cases, and it only proves further that your RP's aren't as successful as you think they are.

I mean, despite all of that... what do you think about your RP? One post a month, huh? Oh, man, that just SCREAMS success, doesn't it?

As to my, The Day of Black Snow, where we all worked together to reach fifty or more posts a day. And that's using truly advanced role playing skills, not the child's play I've seen on yours. So just face it. Your RP is old. Not what it used to be (if it was actually good at some point, which I hope it was).

Sadly, though, I'll be going soon, so I'm afraid The Day of Black Snow had to be canceled. But that's better than dragging it out, just to prolong it's failure. Like you're doing. At least have the pride to complete that RP of yours, because it's making the forum look even worse. We've tried the best we could to cover up for the mistakes that dwell within some of the other RPs, but you're just making us all look bad.

Well, everyone has their own style of RPing, so you can't really rate yourself better or worse than others.

Oh, and instead of trying to force your RPing style on the newbies why don't you try and show them the basics?
And help them improve their roleplaying skills, and find their own style <33

I agree with both of you.

I mean the Leader or Leaders should have responsibility in the RP, but they should also give the other RPers room to expand themselfs and freedom to move around.
But, not too much freedom >__>;; or else they ruin your story line, but~ just enough so they don't get bored

So, instead of telling people what to do; offer a helping hand but don't embarrass them and call them out.

I wasn't trying to force my rp style of people.* I was merely showing people what advanced rping looks like.* It's easy to read and well put together as well as fair to everyone.* If you don't think I should have brought this back up that's your opinion and you are in titled to it.* I believe that the new more current rps could use an upgrade and I was just saying how.* Fifty posts a day isn't anything that big.* Naruto Real Ninja had many more as did a lot of the older rps.* How about 50 post in a couple of hours.* My rp keeps dragging on yes it does.* I admitted that when I restarted it today once again.* If you don't want to rp on it then don't, I have plenty of people on it right now.

@cobdogred: I kinda' mentioned us using truly advanced role playing skills, I believe. I know how your RP, ANN, X, and all of those others went down, back in the day. And I can say, all it is today, is a bunch of senseless n00b posts. And that's what some of the RPer's are doing today. Sad, indeed. Especially since some of them can't get a grasp on how to really role play. And you're just stuck, halfway down the evolution chain. Even sadder.
