Naruto will say that he's never seen you before, and then ask for your name. *Go ahead and give him a screen name (you may use anything you like, but we recommend that you use your screen name from here at Hokage's Room).
Next, you will be allowed to select which element you prefer your ninja style to be. *You may select between Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth, or Water.
Next your village will be attacked! *You must select a weapon to defend it with (I recommend a shuriken). *After defending the village you'll have completed the tutorial.
Missions Defending the village was a mission. *In this game there are other missions for you to complete. In order to do a mission you'll need chakra, and you may also need items or jutsus. *Each time you do a mission you will be rewarded with ryo and expirence and sometimes an item.
When you do a mission, you will only do a certain portion (percent) of the mission, so in order to complete a mission you'll have to do the mission multiple times (usually around 10 times). *This will give you beginner mastery of the mission.
Once you've completed all missions at 100% in a particular level (Academy Ninja, Genin, Chunin, etc.) you will have the option to go back to that level and do all of the missions again. *Doing them again gives you intermediate mastery of the mission. *Once you get intermediate on all missions, you can do them one last time to become an expert at the mission.
Doing missions over again is important because it gives you an extra profile point for increasing your base stats each time you complete a mission. *Normally when you level up you get 5 profile points, but doing all of the missions again gives you between 6 and 8 profile points. *Doing missions again makes you stronger.*
Items As mentioned above, you can purchase items in the game with your ryo. *They are helpful for completing missions and the occasional jutsu, but more importantly almost all of these items can improve your battle stats, so try to keep at least 1 of everything. *However, the 5 best items in the game are:
1.) Giant Shuriken*
2.) Vest
3.) Wind Shuriken
4.) Temari's Iron Fan
5.) Headband**
*This item serves as best in both offensive and defensive stats, meaning that only 5 items are "best" instead of 6.
**You can only get the headband by completing all of the academy ninja missions - this means at most you can have 3 headbands.
By keeping 1 of every item around you add them to your battle stats. *Only one of each item is added, so if you have 10 it won't add 10 times that power to your stats.*
Jutsu In the same way that you can do missions, you can also learn jutsus. *To practice a jutsu, most of the time you only need chakra (though some do require items). *Practicing jutsus rewards you with experience. *You can get intermediate and expert strength with the jutsu by learning a jutsu multiple times in the exact same way that you complete missions.
Learning jutsus multiple times is important because it dramatically increases your strength in battle.
Battles As mentioned before, you can battle other players in this game. *Winning battles will reward you with ryo, but if you lose a battle then you will lose ryo too. *Before battling you should spend all of your ryo or store it in the bank. *There are three things that contribute to your total strength. *First, your base stats. *Second, your jutsu strength. *Third, your team's strength. *You can use this formula to calculate your total strength:
Total Attack Strength = (Team Attack Strength / 19.8) + Attack Stats + Jutsu Attack
Total Defense Strength = (Team Defense Strength / 19.8) + Defense Stats + Jutsu Defense
Please don't pick on people and fight them more than once or twice, all it does is make someone feel bad and want to retaliate.
Bank To protect your money from being stolen while you're away, you can store it in the bank. The bank keeps 8% of the ryo you deposit, so if you deposit 100 ryo the bank keeps 8 ryo for itself. *You should always spend the ryo you have or store it in the bank before logging off of the game.
Recruit Team Members As previously noted, you can recruit team members to help you in battle. *You can send invites to your friends on Facebook. *For each new team mate you join forces with, you will receive extra Chakra!
Remember, you must be friends on facebook before you can become team mates in the game.
Chakra Packs Chakra Packs temporarily fill your Chakra to 125% of your maximum, so it is a good idea to use all of the chakra you have before using a chakra pack. *Each player can use one chakra pack every 23 hours. *When you use a chakra pack, you send chakra packs to all of your team mates that don't have one.
Use chakra packs every day, so that all of your team mates can use a chakra pack every day.
Duties Duties are odd-jobs (that reward ryo) that are provided by various shops of the village (Ichiraku Ramen, Ino's Flower Shop, and The Blacksmith). *They are only offered on certain days, but after performing the duties a certain number of times you can expand on the shop (you can increase the amount of money you receive for each item, or you can increase the total number of items made and stored before sale/delivery, and you can increase the speed that the items are made).
Maximum Upgrade Expansions For Duties are...
Ichiraku Ramen Bar (Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat)
Cook: Tsukemen ($5)
Ramen Bar Capacity: 400
Ramen Bar Output: 30(every 3 hours)
Watch Naruto Shippuden Episodes
At the right side of the game, there is a "watch" tab. *This will allow you to watch a episodes of Naruto Shippuden. *Every 23 hours, if you've watched an episode, you will be rewarded with a random item. *If you want to maximize the number of items you get this way, make sure you watch 1 episode every day (perhaps right after using up the chakra you get from a chakra pack).
Hokage You receive honor points by leveling up or completing a mission. *You may exchange these honor points for refills on health/chakra/stamina or bonus ryo as well as extra profile points or extra team mates (not real people team mates, just computer players). *You can also change your name in the game, change your element, and buy a special item (though this special item is not worth the honor points).
One of the new features of this section is the "auto-buy" feature. *This will automatically purchase items from the store that you don't have when you perform a jutsu/mission if you don't have the item (only if you have enough ryo).
You can earn bonus honor points by completing certain special offers (though not all of these are free of charge). *These special offers are primarily just advertisements that support the game and keep the game running. *A new feature is the ability to purchase honor points directly with a credit card. *The rate is $5 for 50 honor points. *You may buy them in sets of 50 ($5), 100 ($10), 200 ($20), 300 ($30), 400 ($40), and 500 ($50).
Profile Naturally the profile displays your stats (how many battles you've won/lost, how many times you've died/killed, etc.), as well as the items you have, the jutsus you've learned, and your team mates. *It'll also display which episodes you've watched through the game.
