Well maybe if we stopped calling people sexist, we could take a step back and see why this is the way it is.* Just a show of hands, who here actually watches the show?* You can count the number of Konoha Kunoichi who aren't Jonin on one hand.* Even with Anko, Kurenai, Shizune and Tsunade, you still only have 8.* Let's add Temari and Tayuya (who won't ever make a character roster for a game like this due to her short anime appearance) and we have 10.* Rin, Hanabi, Moegi, Shikamaru's mother, etc... bring that total up a little more, but basically, let's face it, kunoichi are rare, and there are so many popular male characters in this show.* Our lead is male, our lesser leaders and significant secondaries are mostly male (with Sakura and Hinata being the exceptions), from there we add the lesser secondaries (Ino first, than Tsunade, Tenten, Temari, Kurenai, Anko in that order) and then the rest of the tershirary characters and what do we have?* A flood of males and a handful of females.* Then let's take in demographics for the show, mostly male.* Sakura is the one added to the roster because of these factors.* Like we saw with Ultimate Ninja and Clash of Ninja.* First female to make the cut is Sakura due to he role on Team 7.* Then we have Hinata coming in second due to her romantic connection to Naruto.* The rest slowly follow suit, as listed above in that order.

Keep the woman power to a minimum.* No one here is sexist, this is just how it turns out when you add up all the factors.* Wait for the next game, maybe then you will have your favourite kunoichi making the cut.

Yes and no.* I am just calling it like I see it.* Not taking shots and any individuals, just keeping it straight on the facts.* For one reason or another, people seem to forget the factors I outline previously when making blatant statement about certain people being sexist.* It is all marketing, nothing more.* Is it there any other reason why the guys were given some fan service with the Kunoichi swimsuit ending?* Simply put, the show is geared mostly towards guys.* Simple as that.

aww my head hurts,* but i get your point and you are right.

((clan cop you should have never asked that first question. true or not))

Face it Most of the kunoichi just play a smalled role. like most of tentens battle was fillered in. Temari is important in the gaara arc but ino has really done much of anything yet.* That is why it is mostly guys.

    Re: Where are the Kunoichi?

Yes, atcually there are people here who are sexist. Men are no better than women, plain and simple. The reason behind the handful of female ninja is because in the Naruto universe, women are supposed to have the role of housewife and such, not because they can't but because they choose. Another factor is that this show is to grab the attention of male audiance and not female, it does anyway because of the rabid fangirls who 'chase' after their bishies.

Look again though, Tsunade is the only female Hokage. There is only one female in each Team and even female Team leaders are rare. To be a shinobi, you must be strong and powerful which most are, but they don't want to risk their life and family in becoming one. That's the male role. Most girls of Naruto are medical-nin, which is more of female job, they don't usually go into combat or battle either. I'm just using this as an example but, in World War 2 women just began working in labored activities. It's really because most countries are run by men. (which on my opinion is true because our country is so screwed up because of our president, I believe men aren't doing us any good)

Another reason is because the creator of Naruto is male also. That could also explain it. All in all, this isn't a Shojo whatever and its not to get the attention of girls. I personally don't mind, most of the Naruto girls aren't even worth placing in a game.

And why keep the women power*to a minimal? That's not right.

Watch it when you talk about male leaders.* Last time I checked, Nancy Pelosi was a bigger disaster then President Bush.* She runs off to Syria to talk peace with people training insurgents to kill American troops.* Then trying to push for peace with Iran, after they have been providing the weapons used against Coalition forces?* This woman is a trainwreck from the instant she was sworn in and started kissing everyone.* Before arguing one side or another, take a look at the players on each.* Hillary Clinton, for example, is a disaster waiting to happen.* A family friend came out and said he can't trust her because the Clintons are so good at lying, that is is almost second nature, and that scares him if she were to ever hold any real power.* Politics aside, if you can lead, then lead.* Sex has nothing to do with it.

Traditionally, leaders have been male because of our physical attributes.* And this is why we see more male ninja then female ninja in Naruto.* It is a role that plays to the "stereotypical" strength on men.* In reverse, you could argue that jobs requiring mental concentration go to women.* Try watching an episode of Murder She Wrote with your gf, sister or mother.* 9 times out of 10, she solves the case because we missed the details they pick up so easily.* Not trying to be sexist here, but realitiistically, like I said before, each sex has its strengths and weaknesses, although we are in this way equal.

That's two women of many. Yeah, there are some that are mess-ups but men are still no better. If you say the Clintons were such good liers then you are including Bill Clinton as well.

Men and women are equal in mind and body, men usully don't see this. Tsunade strong in mind (kind of) and body. And Sakura in Shippuden is looking like she will end up that way too.

Even in reality, women are just as strong if we try and train at it. Look at all the female athletes. I know there are more men that plays in sports but we are catching up. Women are overlooked in todays society and most men are of no help.

I am not saying all of this out of anger, trying to be sexist, or trying to argue or start a fight. I'm saying what I know and what I have learned. In my eyes men are not stronger than women, we are supposed*to be equal and if nobody agrees don't comfront me about it. Naruto I agree is geared toward younger male aduiance.

Equal in our differences.* To say "men and women are equal in all things" is not only sheer ignorance, but sexist, seeing how that statement ends with, "but woman hold the edge on several different things".* Do you think I would forget about good ol' Bill Clinton?* He is half the reason why we are in this mess to start with.* "Clinton the seconding coming" is only going to make matter worse, and yes, she is a woman.

Trouble is today we have this push for all things equal, which in turn leaves us men high and dry.* For example, did you know girls can join the boyscouts?* You can't have the reverse, with boys joining girlscouts, because there are rules against it, but with this push for equality, you have certain groups being "more equal" then others.* I would hate to see Naruto go this way, especially since it is geared towards guy.* Yes I know that women make up a larger portion of anime watchers, but that doesn't mean everything had to be geared towards them.* There are only a handful of shows that aren't "male oriented" which guys can watch.* Look up the term "Pink Ghetto" and apply it to this situation.* Then, if you still think I am sexist, you need to re-examine all the facts.

    While I do agree with clancop, to a certain degree... it's probably best if clancop, being in the position of a moderator, backs down away from such a debate before he feels obligated to lock the thread. o_O;

Anyhow, it certainly couldn't hurt if they included more female characters into Uzumaki Chornicles, but I'd prefer if they actually planned for them in the very beginning. It wouldn't help the imbalance if they just subbed in female #4 for the sake of more female representation. A lot of the female Naruto characters don't play major roles in the events of the series so it might be something that should be addressed in the manga. But hey, a lot of the male characters look like girls... *shrug*
