Soul Calibur IV: Empty Character Spot?

In the character selection screen to the right of Darth Vader (PS3 verson) there is a empty character space. I've searched the web for any clues as to*what character*fills this space*but I can't seem to find anything. However I do have a really hard time believing that this space*has no character*so if any one knows any information on this character space please let me and others know who or what the character is and how to unlock him/her.

That spot was for yoda before they made them an exclusive characters they were going to be on both systems

Is that a fact or is that just a guess because I thought that having the two characters as exclusive characters for each system was the plan from the get go? If that really is the case though, and I'm starting to believe that it is. Unless they eventually have full intentions of releasing Yoda as a download for the PS3 and Darth Vader as a download for the CRAPbox 360 then that was a very lazy thing for them to have done.*And if that is the case they better not make us pay for the download. That would suck.

There are no official announcements for if that spot will be used in the future.

However the concensus among the fans is that the spot will be used for "Downloadable characters". *Similar to the "bonus character" slot, the "downloadable character" slot would be a listing of characters you download from PSN/XBoxLM. *As you know, the number of selectable characters went down a lot from SCIII. *They may bring back old characters like Hwang, Charade, Necrid, Arthur, Olcadan, Inferno/Will-o-the-Wisp, Edge Master. *This could indicate that Darth Vader or Yoda would be in this slot as well, assuming that they decide to release the characters for download on the opposite console (however they've announced that they have NO plans to do that).

NO!!! *There ARE ABSOLUTELY NO PLANS TO PUT VADER ON 360 OR YODA ON PS3.

Here's the article from July 31st, just a few days after the release of Soul Calibur IV, where it explicitly states the director of the game says THERE IS NO CHANCE OF THIS HAPPENING.


"If Katsutoshi Sasaki, the director of Soulcalibur IV, is to be believed, there will be no Yoda in the form of DLC in the PS3 version. There won't be a Vader DLC for the 360 version, for that matter.*

The interview in MSXBox World contains mostly questions about the Xbox 360 version, but when asked "will there ever be a time when we can have Darth Vader and Yoda on the same console?" Sasaki gave a clear reply of "we don't have any plans for that."

Good i was waitting for your proof but that vid does show that yoda and vader does exist on the same system some where

The videos are most likely people with action replays or hacked firmware with cheat injectors.

I have read that hackers have hacked the disc and they said that vader and yoda exist on both versions

Wow, starting to get real serious in here. Anyways I am happy that Darth Vader and Yoda will NOT be released as a download for there opposing systems because that would really ruin the whole concept of having exclusive characters.*That is one thing that has always made Soul Calibur a unique series.*(except maybe the first of the series, I don't know. I never played that one) Anyways, all I need to know is that they do intend to use this spot for something. I don't care who the character(s) is/are all I care about is that*that space*gets filled with something.
