Guy is Masashi Kishimoto's Official Spelling for "Might Guy", the fansubbers just misspell it

And the names are correct for western speakers. First name comes first, surname comes last, In America

The Manga keeps the surname first stuff , but the anime changes it to western format.

Also, IIRC, all japanese romanization from anime and manga had the western stlye, but Gaara was spelled Gara with the little ^ over the first A
