Thank Kira, she's the one that really pushed it over the edge for me. *I'd been irritated by it for weeks/months and when she made a joke about it I just said, "yeah... *enough is enough."

Rpg threads where burying nearly everything else in what is essenetally the general disscusion area of the forms so by doing this at least the other stuff will have a chance to breath.

The only thing better would be if the Hokage does decide to implement a seperate rp area xd

@Supaninja63 - It's a little presumptuous to say, "nobody but RPers use Gathering of Ninja". *Instead I think of it more like the role play threads BURY the other threads that get started and those new threads for actual conversation don't get many replies because no one sees them. *To say something like "only RPers are in Gathering of Ninja" is just plain absurd. *Gathering of Ninja is for ALL types of dicussions, not JUST role play threads.* We won't allow role play threads to have special treatment, we won't let the role play threads walk all over the other legitimate threads.

Last week I asked The_Hokage if he would create a role play section like Endless Nocturne did, I offered up the title "Genjutsu Illusions" but he still hasn't decided if he'll add it in or not. *But even if he does choose to make a new discussion area for it, this no "sign up" thread and no "who's interested and would sign up" thread policy still stands. *Multiple theads for the SAME thing is still spamming. *We might go easier on the "idea" threads though, since it would be a discussion area for RPs and the art of RPing.




when i say that "only rpers are in gathering of ninja" i dont think you understand what i meant. Ever since people heard that HR was going away, everybody left to a point where almost nobody had anything to say except for "HR is leaving?!?" And I'm not saying that role-plays threds are above all, but I am saying that the amount of people rping on the site does deserve a role-play section. And if we did have a roleplay section why nt have sign ups? it would be the role play section lol I think that anything that has to do with rping would be able to be in that section, some people make stupid threads on here just for fun, so why not in that section lol (when i say some people I mean me, remember the cheeeessseee?) But Tiger, I'm not trying to be rude at all, with all due respect, I'm just saying that anything that includes rping should be in the forums unless no one will know....

It does not matter what percentage of the population is still viewing the site, it does not matter if you think everybody else left - what matters is that the people that didn't leave have made topics that got few responces because they were quickly bumped down to page 3/4/5 in the thread listings. *That discussion area is for everyone to use, and the RPs were getting out of control - so the moderators will play Avatar and keep balance in the community in the interest of fairness.

And it's because duplicate threads are still duplicate threads no matter how you put it. *Since "idea" threads where people figure out what might be a good RP to do isn't totally a duplicate thread we'll go easier on them if we get a shiney new RP discussion area. *However I still don't want to discourage the creation of new RPs because the signups and RP threads of the most popular stuff bury the new ones to the point that no one knows they existed. *When I deleted the 2700 signup posts I found a BUNCH of threads that were started that had no replies and in one of them someone said, "oh wow, I didn't even see this thread because it was so far back".

You're saying that like I'm evil. Honestly, you really need to just get over it it's not the end of the world. Are you really that upset that now you can't make more than one thread for a RP? The world won't end, I'll promise you.

Some people are making such a fuss about this I mean come on it's not very hard to post it in your blogs or ask KShadow to put it in his clan blog. Although I think it is a good idea if the_Hokage makes*a RP section but I'm sure that's not his highest priority at the time

Sheesh, people would rather complain than come up with solutions that keep peace. Here's a couple solutions to this new policy(which I agree with 100%):


1) Make one thread. Title it whatever your RP is. Then, have the discussion there. Once you know what it is you're RPing about, have sign ups, then come up with a story, and then RP. You can do all of this in the same thread guys. So, you don't have to make 30 threads for one topic. By teh way, all of those multi-thread RPs were against the Terms of use(making more than one thread about the same topic is Spam).

2) Have a sign up or whatever else you need to start the RP in the forums, then have it moved to a blog. That way, everyone involved knows about the RP, and in the long run you don't even take up front-page space in the Forums.

And if you're creative(and since you all RP, you SHOULD be creative), I'm sure you can come up with some other alternatives that allow you to keep RPing un-abaited, but don't keep the rest of the community from enjoying the forums.

I somewhat take offence to that, DP. What is this 'SHOULD' be creative? I AM creative. Sheesh, I do agree though. Except half the problem is making a storyline, well for me that is. So here's a great way to settle this.

If you don't have an Idea for a RP, don't ask around for one. You don't always need to make one. Chances are, it won't even be very successful. (Successful meaning about 1000 post)
