PS3 Backwards Compatability

Yeah, I tried to play this on my PS3. It was fuine at first, but then it would freeze and stuff. I was ticked! Then I went to my closet and pulled out my PS2.

ditto on the 80 gb... freezes... unfortunately i don't have a ps2... guess i'll check back in a month or two... or three.

my ps3 messeed up un4 if i were you i wouldent recommend you use the ps3 for un4 i was able to play it on my ps3 but after I took it out there was a ring aroubd the disk........it still works occationlly on my ps2 but if i were you i wouldent use a ps3 system.

luckily i bought the 60gb when it first came out for 500 bucks =)

and i play un4 all the time on it all my ps2 games work on my ps3 fine ive never had any probs playing games long terms on the ps3 and have never gotten any ring around the disk it may be ur ps3 not the game cause ive played un4 on my ps3 about 50 hours no no problem at all and my friend has a 20gb ps3 and he plays un4 on it no problem either u should get it checked out no offense.

There are some PS2 games that can be played on the PS3. They are specified in the PS3 instruction Manuel. I think one was a final fantasy game.

@ mitsusen: agreed... even though i can't play un4 just yet, all the ps2 games i've played on my ps3 in the past have never been damaged.

I wish they'd start making ps3 that allow you to ps2 games but since Ive already got a ps2 Im alright and hopefully when the ps3 starts to get old they'll start to make ps3's with ps2 compatibility
