They shouldn't do it, but they should make the whole game rare, that way its price would go up easily and everyone would buy it quickly.

That would be bad for sales, great if it sells quickly but what about volume?

A limited or collectors edition give the collectors something and everyone can still pick up an awesome game at a little lower price.
