I don't get the whole goth/emo thing. Isn't it about showing individualism? Then why would you join a fad?

Great question. I found "non-conformity" social clicks always oxymoronic. It's not so much as being an individual, but rather not being held by the culture. I'm not a goth.....I don't wear jewelry, and I don't paint my nails or wear make-up. I do wear a lot of black(mainly band shirts), but then again, I wear running shoes and shorts. I don't really care what others feel about me, although I do keep myself in good physical condition. I'm not trying to be anyone......except me. I* think that's how it should be too. Don't let anyone tell you what's cool or what isn't, but decide for yourself. it will make you much cooler to be around, and a lot less stressed. if you're emo/goth by nature, great, more power to you(so long as you don't cut, if curious as to why I say that, send me a private message).
