I think (I'm not to sure about this) that* the japanese cover has something to do with the story in the game which will not be included in US/Euro version so i think that both games are different but share same gameplay engine but it has different design I don't think that the japanese version had team play (3 on 3)

So because the two versions are different it makes Jap cover irrelevant to use*

Though I have to say that practically all the Japanese game covers are nicer than the US ones, the cover for this game is pretty decent.

It is not that the game is the japanese version edited to remove spoilers. It is that it is a game made for NA
