i watched the interview with one of fthe developers and discovered that they really dropped the ball big time for this game i dont want this game anymore while the graphics look good and it has 100 missions there the ONLY good things about it when it said 25 fully transformable characters i thought great but it doesnt have online play so the 25 characters are pointless, its really annoyed me i was looking forward to playing online against ther players using my favourite chaarcters but now that i know its guaranteed to be a single player only game im nt gonna waste my money on it. also he said that to try and make up for the lack of online play they will make downloadable content
but no downloadabel content whther its characters,missions whatever will NEVER be able to make for lack of online play this game has now dropped from my definatly buy list to possibly rent for a nightthen never touch again

SO not only has this fact made the game far less buyable but now the xbox 360 is better becausse it lack the story but has great online play and keeps getting new downloadable characters

TELL me what all of you think of this dissapointing fact

and i know that theres plenty of people that will see this and think what a loser but to me a fighting game without online lpay is pointless the whole point of fighters is the competitivness which without online there is none especially for people like me who live out in the countryside miles away from any of my friends. and yes to whoever it ws that said it wasnt possible because the graphics wud give it incredibly bad lag but there is obviously a way around this as the new GTA, which is GTA IV has good graphics and it is going to have online play with up to 16 people playing together at any one time and they wudnt release this if the lag was bad so if the GTA developers can release a game with great graphics and maintain online play then surely the developers of Naruto are just being lazy also when people find out about this i guarantee the game will sell far less than they had hoped

Oh and* ps to any 1 who thinks like me and agree that without online fighters are pointless instead of WASTING money on this wait and get the ps3 dragonball z it shud b amazing as we know this will have online play and many characters

k, i kinda disagree cause naruto games r made for having fun with your friends, and a game with such graphics and contesnt would lag in online play

yes i agree but if u fully read my first post u wud have seen that i said i live miles away from any of my friends so even if i could convince them to get a bus to my house and home again its highly unblikely they would waste thier time and money doing that more than once a week

also i explained about GTA IV it has confirmed online play with up to 16 players at once and it will have great graphics too and to be honest id rather have the likes of ROAN that has good not amazing but good graphics but great online play beacuse so far the ps3 is a waste of money al together it has very few playable games and less than 4 online good games theres the likes of dark sector which are the good ones but ive already completed them

thats y i said the game has gone from definate buy to possibly rent as after the story is done then hats t the game is bled dry theres nothing more to entertain you

Online play is lame. The whole point of this game is to destroy the boundaries of the Naruto anime and gaming, which it seems to have done.

Also, Downloadable characters would be awesome, because maybe it will be Shippuden characters because this will come out after Shippuden.

whats wud be the point in downloadable chaarcters? you could have over 100 characters but wqithout online play you wud get bored of playing against the crappy AI before you've used even half the characters downloabdable content will never be able to make up for lack of play time

um its the first naruto game for ps3 so we should have less characters since they need to re make un in a new style and online play in just not needed so lock this again

Ahem...Well from what I've seen of Ultimate Ninja Storm, it looks amazing. Yeah it sucks that it doesn't have online play but maybe that can be added at some point through downloadable content, much like Tekken was. I generally buy games for the sinlge player experience and if they have an awesome online multiplayer then thats a bonus! (exception being COD4 of course - all about the multiplayer :P)

Maybe you should buy it second hand if you're unsure. That way you can experience the amazing graphics, 100 missions, crazy animation and so on without spending the full amount of money. Fingers crossed for some online DLC though - I'm sure it can be done.

What you seem to be forgetting, jt66, is that the PS3 games are patchable. *If your PS3 is connected to the internet, and there's a patch for a game available - you're not allowed to play the game WITHOUT downloading the patch (if the patch is free).

They*put*Tekken*5:*Dark*Ressurection*on*the*PS*Sto re,*and*then*a*few*months*later*added*
online*gameplay*to*it*through*a downloadable*patch (though, they charged for it rather than
giving it away for free).



It*is*entirely*possible*that*after*the*game*is*rel eased*they*could*add*online*gameplay.



While it would be nice to have online gameplay, it doesn't make or break a video game. *
Halo 1 was fabulously popular without the online game play and the people that play Halo 2
online*(at*least*the*hardcore*halo*fans) hated it because of all the terrible glitches (they
preferred playing with people who didn't take advantage of those glitches).
