the black shadow segment takes place during the two and a half years naruto was gone and*training, but the game it self covers from training till the garra rescue ark its not a spin-off per say.

Mmm I doubt it, only because I don't think the Black Shadow arc was part of the official manga, thus it probably does not include the Akastsuki. Plus, none of the tailed beasts are a wolf.*
