And as for whether or not games are released in Europe first or not... *Well it depends. *If a game development studio is based in Europe, you're right. *If it's based in the US or in Japan, then no. *You see, Japan and the US use game systems in the NTSC format. *So games must be in NTSC*format*too in order for them to work properly on that console. *Game*systems in Europe use the PAL format. *Likewise, European games must be in the PAL format to work properly on the systems. *So when a game is released in Japan, it must be translated to english. *In order to be released in Europe it not only has to be translated but also converted from the NTSC*format to*the*PAL format.

The*conversion*from*NTSC to PAL doesn't take long, though. *So they're generally quick to release.
