Just look for fights around the village or there might be some crystals laying around also.

the 1st time u get crystals theres 1 in the box by the ninja academy and go 2 the hot springs theres 1 there and u can face ten ten in a sheriken battle then go 2 the training field theres 1 in front of the three tree stomps that naruto gets tied 2
