    Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Accel Review

I got this games about a month ago, as an import. I had a mod chip for my Playstation that allowed me to play it. This game was entirely in japanese, a language that I don't understand. But I got through it with the help from a FAQ.

Graphics: I compared the graphics of this game to that of Ultimate Ninja 2 and found that Shippuden's graphics are so much better. The characters look great and are very detailed and clear even when in action. The enviroments, in VS mode, look more detailed and each one of them have their own unique qualites.

Sound: The music, I believe,* is what added most to the game. I don't know if the music will remain the same when this game is translated into an English version, but I hope it does. The music really gives the game a whole combat feel to it. It also evokes a sense of you being in that nauto life yourself as similar background themes are always playing. Each character has there own battle cry as well, which really adds to the gameplay.

    *Gameplay Modes

RPG: this feature of the game is porbably where you would want to start out. You begin to unlock characters from this mode as well. The RPG mode sets you, as Naruto, to explore lands in a free roam 3D style style enviroment. You are to enter caves, cross deserts, run through plains, and vist villages as well. The story pertains to a period between the 2.5 year arc from Naruto to Naruto :Shippuuden, as well as the beginning story of Shippuuden as well. *

Duel mode: This mode is what I think most Naruto fans desire. It is the most fun you can have in the game. A whole new set of moves have been built in for each character. The stages are beautifully designed and the background music really adds to the battle.*

Hero Mode: This mode lets you play through the story of the first season of Naruto's story. You will encounter important battles in the story that took place. This mode is also important for unlocking a good amount of characters. The fighst in this mode are not to dissappoint, and the best part it is you fight for the outcome.*

*Characters: There are about 65 characters in this game, believe it or not. 65! I do not want to spoil anything by giving you a complete roster, but everyone's favorites should be there. All demon and cursed characters are seperate characters from the normal ones. But that doesn't mean normal Naruto can't unleash his Kyuubi in battle.*

*Combat: Sadly the customization feature has been cut down to just a very few customizable jutsus,* but the combat is not lost. The jutsus that are pulled of in this game are ridiculous. Also a new feature that has been added is the clash system. When to characters attack each other at the exact same time, a small miningame of rock, paper, scissors will begin. The characters will dash around the screen and then winner will land a powerful blow on the opponent. There is also a very new exciting feature: the jutsu clash system. Imagine Naruto's Rasengan and Sasuke's Chidori clashing in game. A little button mashing struggle will begin, and the winner carries out the move. The ougi, or secret technique* system, is very interesting as well. Normally in the previous games you could just hit* triangle a number of times for the level of secret technique you wanted. In Shippuuden, certain actions must be done to dish-out a powerful secret technique. A new arsenal of weapons are also added.

*Other features: There are other features like the shop, the unlockables other than characters that I have yet to explore. I shall keep you updated.

The Improvents made from the previous Ultimate Ninjas

Well for starters the graphics were improved, the characters are very well detailed and the stages are remarkable. The roster of characters is the greatest improvement doubling the amount of characters found in Ultimate Ninja 2. Secret techniques are improved and look great, the way you are unable to execut a certain one until you meet a certain requirement is also another neat feature. Oh and personally I think the substitution jutsu looks great whenever you pull it off. Certain taunts grant the character special abilities or just a status boost. The RPG mode has been a noticable improvment as graphics of the enviroments look great. The combat Naruto can execute is amazing and can be improved by leveling up, granting you new abilities.

I hope this review has helped you. I will say that most naruto fans will not be disappointed as this game is fully packed with brand new features. This games, in my opinion, is the most fun and overall the best naruto game in its series.*

*I am planning on updating this review so please tell me what you would like to find out, so I can play the game and give you an exact answer.

Re: Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Accel Review

    Pretty good review.

One thing though, you can still customize your jutsus, the difference this time round (problem to some) is that you can only select between a handful of jutsus. 8 or 9 IIRC.

Another thing to note is that this game is recommended for Naruto fans but only if you're watch the subs version.
If you only follow the dub, you won't recognize alot of the characters and you might get things spoilt for you.

Nice Review. I have the game also, but I used swap magic instead of a mod. CS2 Sakon/Ukon are my best characters.

Hey thanks. Shikamaru is my favorite, because you can actually play an intellectual game with him, setting up traps and stuff.

Man, i have seen some movies on YouTube, and you're right, it does look great, even though the RPG mode seems a bit boring with the lack of different combos. But it can't be that bad. I hope i can get this game soon... though not very likely when not even UN2 has been released in my country yet.... and i don't know anyone to install a mod chip or buy* a Swap Magic.......... World is not fair!!
