*It's already been released in Japan. Right now they're translating it and changing the voices. When we hit a certain point in the anime, they'll release it, don't worry.

At the rate the Naruto anime is airing on Cartoon Network, you can expect Shippuuden to be released early next year. I would expect the Accel series to be released around then. Who knows if it will be for Playstation 2 though, but with how well the system is still selling, I'm sure games will still be being released for it.

They can't exactly upconvert*a ps2 game to a ps3 game. It wouldn't be worth the time or money to make such an effort. Especially when it'd probally sell better as a ps2 game in the first place since more people have that system then ps3s.

and since the ps3 can play most ps2 games, you could play it on a ps3 anyway. there are about 100 fillers and they show two a night which makes it 50 weeks and there are 52 weeks in a year and we have gone throught about 20 fillers (give or take) by now so about 40 weeks until the fillers are done which leaves 14 weeks until a year from now so that is 28 episodes and that should cover until after sasori and sakura and chiyo's fight so a couple weeks after that will be the end of the first season of shippuuden and then a few weeks for them to change to voices and censor it (itachi's tsukuyomi, etc.) and then a few more weeks for them to make us wait (you know they love doing that) so i would say around late summer-early fall of 09. but it could be sooner than that or later than that. i just really want it.

I wouldn't put it past them to already having started preliminary work on the next game already.

It wouldn't suprise me to see it hit the steets in november just in time for the holiday sales. That gives an 8 month gap after Ultimate ninja 3 so that fans who bough it don't feel ripped off by them releasing an update too early (like Accel 1 to Accel 2 in japan was less then 6 months apart)

*They have. Most of the fillers are being skipped, and it has been announced that the Shippuden anime starts in September by Shonnen Jump. We would be about to the point Japan was in the anime when they got the first Accel. Also, it would be to their marketing advantage to have it out before the Christmas season. I'm pretty sure it will be out in either late October or maybe early November.*
