I'm definitely buying NUNS, as the game just looks so fracking amazing and demo was so much fun. I'll reserve judgment on Broken Bonds until after the reviews come out, but it'll probably be a decent game.

well you're right about one thing that storm doesn't have online play but when you said that storm had a pathetic amount of characters you made yourself sound stupid because the 360 version has the same amount of characters as storm so don't go judging games when you don't know the facts and online is nice but it's not needed to become a fighting* game stupid next time look up what you're talking about next time

This alternate trailer was S-I-C-K!!! But who wouldn't be bummed about the amount of characters.* UN3 went up to the same arc and look how many characters it had. Take out the hokages (including yellow flash),*taijutsu naruto, Hanabi, and Konohamaru which I look at as extra characters and that's still 35.* So 25*characters is a pretty big hit. It kinda*makes the release seem like the series is starting over on the Ps3 instead of continuing*where they left of*on the PS2.*

well it kinda is starting over on the ps3 =\ since they already have 2 shippuden ultimate ninja games on the ps2 in japan. and I bet now they'll never come to america -.-

But to the guys who say Storm isn't a fighting game because of multiplayer is just idiotic, who said fighting games HAVE to have online play, honestly there's not too many that do. I mean jeez, look at the greatest fighting game ever =P MK2 and did have online, no it only had a sega genisis and two controller ports and 12 characters. lol and you say that ROAN was better than storm, well at least Storm did have the orignal naruto cast, which I have to say is definitely something ROAN2 improved on now, and also the fact that they BOTH have the same number of characters makes it obvious you truly have no idea what you're talking about when you say pathetic roster...

Ya know, one thing that I've been wondering is why have they been focusing on the Naruto vs Gaara fight in every trailer? They haven't shown anything from the Sannin fight, hardly anything about Naruto vs Sasuke, we don't know if any Sound ninja are in the game, we don't know if Zabuza and/or Haku are in here. Personally, I'd like to see more from the "story mode" (I forget what they call it).

The character list is already pushing 20, so I doubt that we'll have any "surprises." But you know how game are...always save the best stuff for right before launch.

I'd love to see more of the story mode too. And I agree, they're probably saving it for later. So far, we've seen pics (and recently, video in this topic's trailer) of Naruto running around The Hidden Leaf Village. Maybe we'll see some more boss fights in the coming months? I, for one, would love to see how they handle the Forest of Death- and the Chuunin Exam story arc overall. Perhaps they'll let out some more bits and pieces of the story mode as the launch date nears. I have a feeling that CyberConnect2 have a few aces up their sleeve for this game- the story mode being one of them.

Gamesradar.com did an interview with Hiroshi Matsuyama (President/CEO of NUNS's dev- CyberConnect2) and he touched on some interesting points regarding the story mode and how it will play out... Apologies if this has already been posted. I know it's old, but it still has some good info:

Here are some select quotes:

"HM: In the mission mode, it’s not only just a simple one-versus-one battle type of a mission, but it also incorporates kinds of missions, such as chase missions for example, item collection missions."

"HM: As you complete the missions, the missions are made into levels. So as you progress in the missions, you’re actually able to reenact the anime TV series from the first to the 135th story. So it’s all a matter of progression according to the story."

"HM: Instead of actually showing simple cinematics, or just showing maybe like an anime just to show where you’re progressing ours will be a lot more interactive, where you’re actually in the actual sequences where you’re actually physically partaking in that certain storyline. So as you complete these missions you’re actually following through according to the storyline, but you’re just actually navigating through it as an actual character."



"HM: Basically everybody within the lineup in the anime, within the actual plot, will be planned."

SONY still has plans for the PS2 for at least another year.* When they stop making games like Madden and the like for it, PS2-only owners can start to worry.* The japanese market really has no effect on which games are released in the US only the US demand does.* And we DEMAND UN4 & 5! LOL.*

Can u blame us for wanting at least some difference in characters?*We*have*been playing with*pretty much the same characters in every game and the 2*games of the series we haven't got have the most variety. *If that was the case BLEACH's Heat The Soul Series would've been here long ago.*

p.s. I know u did NOT mention the G.O.A.T. of fighters on SEGA and not mention the console god of that era the SNES...lawlz
