Re: The Day of Black Snow

Lance refrained from saying a single word the whole time. Even when Emile violently slapped Tara right in front of him. He felt like he couldn't do anything while being blind. Emile's statement of his blindness not being permanent, though, was a huge relief to him. However, his eyes wouldn't stop bleeding, and Lance wouldn't stop crying. It wasn't sobbing, though. Basically, it was just emotionless tears. "Tara..." Lance spoke to her, once they reached the cabins. "...let me go." he told her, calmly.

Shawn walked back out onto the deck. He saw Kaji and Sango there, but nobody else. "Whoa, what did I miss?" he asked the two of them, approaching the barely-eaten cake and the tables still covered with snacks and drinks. Shawn picked up a plate and a fork, then went up to the cake, cutting out a slice and putting it on the plate. "You're gone in the bathroom for ten minutes and you miss the whole party." he complained, taking a bite out of his cake slice, using the fork. "Mm, but this cake just might help me get over it..." he mumbled, chewing.

"No." Tara replied to him simply, opening the door. She saw Kimiko there, who was facing the wall and seemed like she was sleeping. She lead Lance to his bed, and just set him down there. She went over to the bathroom, and than brought him a lot of toilet paper to wipe his face off. After placing it in his hand, she sat down next to him.

"Pf, don't be like that. I'm just trying to start a conversation!" She shouted down at him. After a short time, she started chuckling "Are you.... jealous...?" She said through laughter that she tried to calm down by putting the pillow over her face.

"Thanks." Lance plainly thanked Tara. He waited for a moment, seemingly staring at the wall, lost in thought. Then, he shook his head a bit, before beginning to wipe the tears and blood off with the toilet paper. "Oh," he muttered, finishing up his left eye and switching to his right. "Tara?" he asked for her attention.

"Yes?" She replied, turning her head to him, and looking at his now, light pink eyes. "Oh, thanks for the party" She said, with a huge smile.

"Happy birthday." he said, turning away from her. Even when he wished her a happy birthday, he spoke quietly, feeling guilty for some reason. "Please... tell me." Lance looked back in her direction, asking, "Are you smiling?"

"Heh, yes" She replied, and than started to lean over towards him. "Oh goodness, get another room." Kimiko growled, opening her eyes. "This is all really cute, but I need some sleep." She said, closing her eyes again. Blushing, Tara moved away from Lance and she was really close. "Heheh, didn't know you were awake." "Now you do, so please leave.." Kimiko said, incredibly annoyed.

"...Tara. Maybe you should leave." Lance suggested, looking down at the bed. "Go enjoy your party. I'll stay here and rest." he said, falling back on the bed. "Kimiko? When will we arrive at our destination?" he asked, actually calling her by her name, and speaking with a serious tone.

"O-Okay..." Tara replied, soon leaving the room. She checked to see if Kaji was in their room and she wasn't so she went up to the deck again.

"I believe pretty soon." Kimiko replied, with her eyes still closed. After some silence she turned around to him, even though he couldn't see her "Sorry if I injured you." She apologized but brought no emotion into saying that.

"It's okay... I guess. All you did was get a few jabs at me. Not like someone like you could do anymore..." he insulted her, slightly. "But at least you weren't the one who blinded me. So... what the heck happened back there, anyway?" Lance asked, resting his head on a pillow.

Sighing, slightly bothered she has to repeat herself she spoke "I have a trauma from childhood since I lived through war, saw both of my parents die, so now I am incredibly paranoid of loud sounds, a lot of moving and so on." She said it all, very very plainly.
