The Day of Black Snow 2"A man isn't mortal until he dies."

Chapter 4: CarelessThe lake dividing the continent into two pieces was the greatest source of fresh water the Black Snow and the Raigon had. Before Lance became the Village Leader, while Zero-Zero, the head of Project Infinity, was, the lake served as a way of travel, between the Project Infinity Shipping Base, and Loading Base. Now, however, battles over who controls the lake, have begun. Some of them, on top of the small, icy islands. Others, actually underwater. Leading the fight underwater, while sitting in his chair, was the red-eyed, black-haired wonder, himself. Charging straight-ahead from inside of a submarine, Lance stared viciously into a screen, focusing his attention on the enemy in front of him. "C-20, C-21, station yourselves off to the sides. Q-4, please, depict the one in charge, for me. A-7, continue leading your squad into the enemy, full-force." he said, resting his right arm out onto the armrest, apparently calming down for the time-being. "...I'm surprised the Raigon have found someone else to lead their military, so quickly. Let's hope this one isn't the brightest crayon in the sixty-four pack." he spoke, silently to himself. The truth was, even after those whole six years, Lance never heard word of Project Infinity, once. It was like they mysteriously disappeared after the Second Day of Black Snow, so all of his victories have been won, while going up against Nevermore's standard, weak army.

The battled had just begun less than 20 minutes ago when Kaji radioed in Lance's submarine. "Hey? Are you done day-dreaming down there? We're already*dealt with*everything*up here. Pieace of CAKE! Now,*get your lazy butt in motion Lance! We don't have all day you know!" The red headed woman growled into the speaker a bit frustrated.

Though, she turned back to her crew relieved it was all over with for now. *"C'mon Ladies!"Kaji smirked as her face appeared on everyone of her men's screens "Good Job. Let's get these babies back to base!"

The tank started slowly monovering it's way through the busy streets as they paraded their victory.

In the distance two female figures were seen, climbing up the hill before the village. They were both heavily clothed with PI uniforms, scarfs and cloaks. Climbing up the hill wasn't easy for them since the strong, cold wind was blowing in the opposite direction from they were going. Suddenly one of the two girls stopped, catching her breath. "Screw this" she mumbled to herself while taking the scarf off, along with all the extra clothes. In the end she was only left with a light pink sleeveless top, white pants and strong black boots going halfway up her legs. She started marching forward, rushing past the other young woman. "Veronica are you mad!? You will freeze before you reach the village! Idiot!" she tried shouting over to her, but Veronica most likely didn't hear a word Kimiko had yelled because of the wind. After sighing in disappointment and tightening her scarf, she continued going uphill after Veronica.

Tara didn't seem all that cheerful while standing next to Kaji. She suddenly grabbed her shoulder, trying to regain balance. Her face was rather pale, and she had fade gray circles under her eyes. "Kaji... I feel like... I'm going.... to...." Before she even finished trying to warn her, Tara started puking in front of her, holding her stomach. "Eck..." She mumbled in disgust, while cupping her hands over her mouth "Handkerchief please.."

"TARA!" Kaji whined sinking into her seat and hitting her head on the steering*wheel *"That's the second time this WEEK! I'd think you'd have gotten use to this by now! " She pouted while handing her a handkerchief and started spraying airfreshner. "Great." The woman mumbled. The smell of fresh vomit and airfreshner incircled the small room causing the red head*to almost gag while*putting the tank on auto-pilot and climb the ladder while she opened the hatch and sticking her head through the wide opening gasping for the cold air.

"Sorry!" Tara squealed after wiping her mouth with the handkerchief. "Not like I am doing this on purpose..." She turned her head away towards the opened hatch where Kaji was, since the smell wasn't pleasant at all.

"YES!" Veronica yelled when reaching the top of the hill. She put her hands up in victory, still breathing rather heavily. "Move it, idiot.. now we need to go downhill..." Kimiko growled through the scarf while reaching the top as well. She just slightly pushed Veronica forward... but she accidentally slipped, lost balance and ended up rolling down the hill. "Whoops." Kimiko said, putting no emotion into it. She just watched Veronica roll downwards, hiding a smile behind that scarf.

A few meters away from the two woman stood a man dressed mostly in white. He turned to face them when he heard them reach the top of the hill. After witnessing one of the two women rolling down the hill he let out a soft chuckle before turning to face forward again. Before he decided to make his decent he took out a pouch filled with a warm liquid and took a long sip which instantly warmed his body.* He took one last moment to glance at the person who remained at the summit and then began to slide down the soap at a steady pace. * *

Kaji frowned "Maybe you should go see a doctor. I don't want to end up catching some stupid virus, especially when Dynamo's about to retire. I swear, that old man's going to be making me the general in NO TIME."*She grinned. Suddenly the tank came to a stop as it hit a fire hydrant and water started to*shoot up into the air and land on her. "Crap!" The red-headed woman was snapped back into reality and she escaped back down the hatch, closed it*and grabbed the steering wheel taking them down the road. "That never happened." She narrowed her eye brows. she knew one of those arrogant store clerks were*bound to call up Lance and complain about her that little accident of hers, like always.

"Kaji... I'm not sick..." Tara said as her tone slowly began going more silent. She leaned over and whispered into the girl's ear, not wanting anyone, absolutely anyone to hear what she had to say. "I think I'm pregnant." She quickly pulled away, placing her hands behind her back and awaiting Kaji's reaction. An insecure smile appeared on her face, as she closed her eyes.


"Hey! Hey!" Kimiko shouted as her eyes widened at the sight of something warm to drink. She quickly started going down the hill after the man she had not known. Sadly, she slipped just like Veronica did, falling downwards and knocking the man off balance as well.
