"Are you kidding me?" She shivered, seeing the dark place. "Why would you want to... Mah, I'm coming with you." She said, clenching her staff. As they walked in, Tara stayed as close to Lance as possible. Dark places weren't really her strong point. You could say she was even a bit paranoid in them. She was constantly looking around, trying not to hit into anything... but failed at that, when she hit into the training doll. "WAHH!!" Her scream echoed around, as she fell down to the floor, not realizing it was just the doll.
"What?! What is it?!" Lance shouted through her scream, turning around swiftly and looking at her. He then saw her on the ground, next to some figure that stood up from the ground. "Wait a minute..." Kneeling down next to her, Lance covered her mouth with his hand, pointing at the figure with his other hand. "Tara... it's just the training doll." he said, gently putting his hand down.
"Oh thank god.." She mumbled, following with a huge sigh of relief. As she slowly got up, she got a closer look at the "doll". A terrified look overcame her face. "Lance.." She whispered, in a shaky tone. She slowly grabbed his hand, and started pulling him towards her, away from the "doll". "... This is not a doll..." She whispered, not taking her frightened look off of the hanged body...
"What do you mean?" Lance asked, facing the figure and poking it on the forehead. "Of course it is-" he said, pausing. Lance just stared back at Tara, silently. He looked down at his finger and faintly saw some blood on it. "...t-that's... not..." Holding Tara's hand tightly and taking another step back, the "doll" suddenly fell forward at their feat, rolling over and revealing the teacher's face, drenched in blood."...h-h-holy...!" Staring at the body, paralyzed, Lance lost grip of Tara's hand, backing up slow, then, quickly, before tripping over the mat in the room and falling back. "GAAAAAH!" he yelled, struggling to stand up in the darkness, but flailing around all over the place.
"Calm down!" She shouted, trying to catch him. Once she did, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, holding him still. "He's dead, he can't do anything to you for Christ sake..." She said, looking back at the body. But than she caught a glimpse of teacher's hand.. and noticed one of his fingers twitch. "Ohh crap..." She whispered, gulping. "Or maybe he isn't.. " Slowly letting go of Lance, they both backed away a few more feet. "Remind me, why did you have to come in here again..." She whispered to him, clenching her staff.
"T-To get my stuff..." Lance answered, staring at the door where a little light still came in. "Okay... if he is alive, m-maybe we can make a break for it and get around him, if we run..." he said, caring more about getting away than getting his stuff.
"No.. we can't leave him, jeez!" She exclaimed. With out saying a word, she started walking towards the almost dead body. She stopped there, turned the end of her staff, and poked him with it 2, or 3 times, waiting to see if there will be a reaction.
