The Day of Black Snow 2 (Complete)

"You're alive!" Lance confirmed, surprised. He picked her body up and rested her on his back, kneeling up again and holding onto her tightly. "We can't go back now, though. You'll just have to make-do with it." he told her, not caring if she was able to listen or not. He then bolted off through the snow, carrying Veronica and heading back up the hill.

"Jesus.. be more careful with me" Veronica complained, still seeming really mellow "Kaji.. Emile...Phil, where are they? Where are we?" She started mumbling.

"Close. We're still near the site of the crash. All we have to do is find them." Lance answered, running up the snow. "Now shut up, the last thing I need right now is your complaining!"

"You .... don't tell me... to shut up" She mumbled really silently, and weak. After around 2 minutes passed, which felt like 2 hours for her since she was in a lot of pain and was utterly confused she spoke up "Where are you running?"

"Back to the minivan, I don't know!" Lance struggled to say, still running. Even though Veronica was pretty light and easy to carry, the snow made it annoying for Lance to bring her around with him. Then, the minivan came into his sight. "Yes!" he bursted, approaching it and opening up the door to where Kaji was. Inside, Kaji was sitting in the driver's seat, sleeping while the front of the minivan was smoking. "Huh?" Looking up at the smoke, Lance waited for a moment. Then, after a while, the tree they crashed into suddenly went up in flames. "GYAH!" Lance screamed, looking at Kaji. Biting his bottom lip, he tilted his down, sweating nervously.

In no time at all, Lance was running away from the minivan, carrying both Veronica AND Kaji. While Veronica kept hanging onto his back, he had Kaji resting his arms, bridal style. But to make sure Veronica didn't fall off, he had his arms go around her legs, and he leaned forward just to be extra sure. "EMILE, YOU DIRTY BASTARD! WHERE'S YOUR UNLIMITED SUPPLY OF MUSCLE NOW, HUH?!" he roared, dragging his feet through the snow as he ran.

Kaji woke up, she had her arms wrapped around Lance's neck choking him a bit. She rose slightly and looked at him. "What. The lleh. Do you think your doing?" The small girl asked smelling a whole lot like smoke, she had a big soot mark right across her eyes like a racoon, that and she was extremely cranky when someone woke her up from a nap

"You won't consider yourself so lucky when they start probbin' where ain't ment to be probed kid." The Red headed woman spoke again.

"MY LEG!!!" Veronica suddenly screamed in pain "And my arm!" She yelled once again. "Oh god.." She just bit her lower lip, and took a deep breath in, while sweating a lot because of the pain.

"Calm down, both of you!" Lance shouted, gnashing his teeth together. The snow that gently sprinkled from the sky then started coming down a little faster. It was a pretty good sign of a blizzard coming up. "We just gotta find Emile, Phil, and Edward now..." he muttered, pushing onward through the snow.

"Anything's better than driving ourselves insane in here for the rest of our lives..." Shawn responded, looking over at Tara. "...wanna tell us about these friends of yours?" he asked, staring at her.

"Just put me down" Kaji said wriggling lose from his grip until her feet touched the floor. "It will be easier for you to carry one person instead of two, especially in this weather." She said walking next to him.

Hakel looked in the house in the reserve to find nothing. "Hmm well nothing of importance here. I should try that hill next." Hakel said as he headed out of the house and towards the hill.
