She grunted, not even bothered to look at him* "Me...rich? No way. I wouldn't dream of being labelled as one of those pathetic, snobby brats.." Lynn said harshly and glanced to him* "Oh..you're that wealthy kid who was on the ground earlier, if I'm not mistaken"* She raised her eyebrow, finally looking straight at him.
Kat walked to her band class, pretty happy about her day so far. Her father always told her she was outgoing and made friends easily.
Kat walked to the band room. All the kids were ready with their instruments out for the first period* of the day. This was the crappy band, Kat was just a teacher's aid that period. The director always let Kat have free reign of the school, so Kat wouldn't go complain to her father (Not that she would anyway, but Professor Schleuter was a scary man).
The half Mexican decided to finish up her AP History homework (That she was too lazy too do earlier) and listen to the crappy band.
"Ooh, I like you..." Tristan chuckled, still leaning over her. After hearing the bell ring, he finally straightened-up and looked away, saying, "Darn... oh well. I'll talk to you, later." With that, he winked at Lynn, and walked away.
Later that day, walking home from school was Tristan. It was so late, that the sun was already going down, and he was more tired than you could imagine. "I'm going to die..." he mumbled, while yawning.
Lynn blinked and tilted her head slightly as Tristan walked away* 'Strange..just like the rest of them' she thought and shrugged, getting ready for class.
The young girl sighed walking along the street after school was over. She never liked returning home, to her little rented apartment with not much amenities..but that was all she could afford at the moment. After all, her part-time job, which for some reason she never wanted anyone to know about, doesn't exactly pay much for her to live a slightly more comfortable life.
Tristan looked to his right. "Kamahari Road." he said, walking bent-over, with his hands in his pockets. To the left of the road, there was a large forest. Next to the forest, and at the end of the road, was Kamahari High. But to the right, there seemed to be an endless field, devoid of life, and filled with only the lingering fog that never went away. "...stupid." the boy commented. Switching his focus to what was in front of him, he spotted Lynn further up. However, as he turned his head, he caught a glimpse of something in the corner of his eye. Stopping, Tristan immediately stared back over into the field... but there was nothing there. It was all the same. "..." Squinting into the fog, it hurt his eyes just to look. It felt cold, suddenly. Strange, indeed, especially for where they lived. "...IIIII'm not all that thrilled with staying here. Lynn! Lynn!" he shouted like an idiot, running after her and brushing off everything that just happened.
As she heard his voice, Lynn turned around and looked to Tristan, frowning slightly* 'Oh no, not him again..' she sighed but stopped so he could catch up to her.* "What is it now?" she asked as he got close enough. Her eyes glancing around at the fog that surrounded them.
Stopping to catch his breathe, Tristan leaned on his knees to stay up, showing her his finger as a gesture to wait. Then, once he was ready, he stood back up and fixed his voice a bit, saying, "It was nothing." Scratching the back of his head and giving her a goofy smile, he continued, "But I did want to ask you something. Why did you say what you said, earlier? I mean, way back, during first period?" Tristan let his arm drop back down, staring at Lynn, curiously.
She narrowed her eyes and sighed heavily, looking away from him* "Isn't it obvious? I'm not as rich and pampered as you are...far from it in fact. You can say that life hasn't really been kind to me..." she muttered, a slight scowl appeared on her face as she mentioned the last part.
"Oh..." Tristan murmured, silently. He kind of just stared at Lynn for a while, feeling no awkwardness at all from it, as if he was repelling every little vibe she sent him. Then, out of the blue, he asked, bluntly, "...are all poor people dark and gloomy like you, then?"
Lynn twitched and looked up at*Tristan furiously* "No...are all rich people as blunt and annoying as you..?"* she asked back, getting a little irritated.* "Why are you walking home anyway? Don't you have a big fancy limo or something?"
