theres is a smash bros. but wat about a funimation bros.
i wish there was a game like smash brothers for all the great shows from funimation. I know there is going to be a D.O.N with dbz,naruto and* one piece.but they need to put more than 3 shows like fullmetal alchemist or yu yu hakuso.............................picture this goku going super sayian3 on nine tail fox naruto who do you think would win *cough* goku* .....excuse me.

And like Tobias said, a game like what you want already exists... though it doesn't have FMA in it.
Its hard to have all characters from certain manga/anime because of licensing issues.
While DON and Jump Ultimate Stars exist in Japan, because all of them share the same manga publisher(ie.Shonen Jump), the same is not likely to occur in the States.
Its all about product licensing and legal issues. AKA who gets what money. >_>
I do suggest that if you want, invest in buying D.O.N. as it is a very fun game from a mulitplayer aspect. I've heard nothing but great reviews for the Jump Stars games. And if you want a FMA "smash brothers" style game, checkout FMA: Dream Carnival. Again a very fun game.
Note that all 3 above games are totally Japanese, so be prepared for import costs, PS2 region compatibilty costs and a language barrier(though FAQS exist for that) ^_^
