Problems with DLC... Help?

I'm getting really mad. I can't get Storm Pack 3 installed. I really*hope you can help.

So... I have the European version (I guess?), at least it says "Published by NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe S.A.S. Made In Austria" on the back of the case. This is the original version, not the limited edition. I have now completed the game 100% (except for the collectives..) and when I download SP3, nothing happens. Nothing at all.*I can find the downloaded*file from the folder all the other*game data is saved, but it's seperated from the original*NUNS file. Is this normal, or should this SP3 actually update the exsisting NUNS file? The game data has been saved under the name "Naruto: Ultimate ninja storm", and the Storm pack 3 data has been saved as "Naruto(tm): Ultimate ninja(r) storm". tm meaning trademark and r registered. Should it be so that the names are same and then the PSN downloader could be able to update the existing file? If the situation is exactly the same with you guys, what have I done wrong? It can't be that at first I installed Storm with the user I have registered to European PSN and now*anything doesn't work because I try to download from the American PSN.

I think this is the same problem when my friend tries to download guitar hero songs but they aren't installed automatically.

Anyways, I can't find Shizune in the character select aad I can't find the new mission from the mission list.

well there really isnt anything you can do with the game, im sure that doesnt matter, but just keep trying I guess, because no one can really help you on a situation like this..either that or contact sony..

Im trying to help a friend right now who has the same problem he dosnt have any of the extra support characters and hes downloaded the stormpacks. He also lives outside the US. I sent him to livehelp.namco.com
since thats what the Naruto UNS booklet says you can go to if you get stuck or are having trouble to get the game to work properly. Their live help should be available right now too so maybe you should go give that a try and let us know what they tell you?

Ok, so I contacted the live support. The guy there said that this is the first time he heard about this problem... He couldn't help me that much and suggested that I would contact Atari's support. I did and now I'm waiting for answers from there. The guy said that the problem could be that my PS3, NUNS and sp3 are from different regions and something but I don't think that has anything to do with this... My PS3 is the 80gb version (4 USB ports) bought from Finland, my NUNS is bought from Finland and well the Storm Pack 3.. I'm downloading it from the US. I hope that's not the problem for European PSN doesn't have the NUNS stuff...

Yea they told my friend the same thing to talk with Atari.

He hasnt gotten on so I'm not sure what happened but I imagine theyre telling him the same thing as you.

I take it they didnt have an immediate soution for you then? :|

You know it prob is because the games from finland and the download your gettings is to patch/Modify the US version of the game. I once had this problem on my PSP where I played a game rather far towards the end almost but then I got the US version of the game and when I tried to load my saved data it wouldnt even find it, i had to start a new save file.

It would help to call Sony and tell them your PS3's problem and they'll find a solutiin for you or maybe they'll ask you to send it to them and they'll fix it. If you still have the warrant it's free but if you ruined the waranty sticker or it's not covered anymore of the warranty they'll charge you $149.99.

I think the European version of Storm is not compatible with the US data...

FINALLY I got this figured out.

The problem really has something to do with those region codes.*On the back*your game case you have this number next to the globe-looking thing. In USA*the number is 1. In Europe and at least Australia*the number is 2. These copies with the number 2 don't support the files from PSN of the USA. But I didn't know that there was*Storm Pack 3 (called SP 1, cause we don't get the Hokages in Europe...)*available in the PSN of the UK also. I thought that the USA was the only place... But any way, I downloaded the Storm Pack from UK and it worked. All because in the UK they also have these region 2 copies.

All in all, the thing was that region 2 NUNS copy doesn't support region 1 DLC. You just need to download*content with the same region code. This is the reason*why for example*Guitar Hero songs downloaded from the USA's PSN*don't always work with a European game copy.

I'm not sure if this was worth all this effort, the Storm Pack 3 kind of sucked I'm still eagerly*waiting for the next Storm Pack though...
