Plus I suppose that people are trying to focus too much on unneeded things. By people I mean the RP Leaders. In fact I'm one of them (Only on FC). So it's ruining the fun. Plus there's probably a lot more reasons. Like people are trying to be more original. Like I said, I may be wrong. That's just my opinion.
I agree Anisa, Role Playing has gotten so dull, it is like the same thing over and over and over again. Its the follow the momma duck effect.(xD) Heck, even I've lost my interest in RPing. That's never really happened to me before. Maybe Zolo Chronicles and Xipho are barely the only RPs that attract any attention. But like I told some of you before there is a key which may actually save RPing in Hokage's Room. If we could shrink the number the Role Plays to a minimum, lets say maybe 5 different RPs going on in HR, like when RPing started here. That way a person/people could actually CREATE and LEAD their own sub-plots contributing to the main plot that the creator(s) has/have. The only problem is that RPers each have their different likeness towards a certain RP, maybe some like Fantasy RPs, Virtual Reality RPs, Ninja RPs, Pirate/Criminal RPs, Realistic/Real World/High School RPs etc. So what I would propose is this...we, all of the RPers of Hokage's Room, make nominations to choose what kind of RPs we would like to participate in. After the nominations we vote for them and the top five or so get to be created. Who creates them after that should be determined by vote or opinion towards an RPer/RP creator.
That is an awesome idea. The only problem is people will never go with it. I'm not going to point fingers or anything. But that idea would really help Hokage's Room is the role players would actually go with it.
I don't think that's such a good idea. What if people choose an RP that you're leading and it gets kicked off of the list? That will probably make a lot of people lose interest in what they're doing. You know, TigerC10 was telling me about something one time and he said if we make nominations like this or block the RPers creative way of thinking, it would completely push away several members. Cause I know a lot of people like Zolo Chronicles and Xipho because they were made during the time when people were interested in RPing. And, I have two RP's that have attracted a lot of attention. Breakthrough of Fate and American Zeroes are the only ones I really EVER put any thought into it.
But, I've seen some other RP's been done and the problem is simply this: People want to see an RP with a good plot and a good opening. If they don't have either of those two elements a lot of the new RPers will get turned away because the plot is actually two simple and doesn't give ANY character development.
