@Shadow - Why did you copy this off of Cob's post? Well, whatever...

    1. No.
    2. Depends on what's meant by customization.
    3. ^
    4. Not needed.
5-6. For Story mode? Sure, as long as it doesn't hinder the rest of the game, then by all means make it huge. But you need to understand that will eat up a lot of disc space. Just sayin'.
    7. If you ask me I'd be happy with 80-90 without "support only". As long as there are completely unnecessary and useless characters.
    8. Not needed.
    9. This would be great. The team aspect of the fights needs improvement. But how would you improve it, I ask.

What would you guys think about having the next game after Storm 3 being SD styled like the Rock lee spin off series?

  3. #193
    Konohamaru
    Jutsu Attack: Rasengan.
    Ultimate Jutsu Attack: Ultimate Rasengan.

    Konohamaru version 2
    Jutsu Attack: Kage bunshin Shuriken
    Ultimate Jutsu Attack: Ultimate Rasengan.

@Midori: I would never buy it as it's truly a waste of my time & money, sorry but that spin off is a joke.

There're already plenty of Rasengans to go around in Storm, only one more used is the Fireball Jutsu. I like the Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu, and Burning Ash could be the other one. His Ultimate could be Rasengan, that I don't have any objections against ^^

@Midori - You formed your question like you didn't already know that there is a game coming out on the 3DS based on the spin-off show. It looks like a decent game for kids, but I ain't gonna get it, though I enjoy the show. Like MP said, it's a jokeand, a really stupid one. But it is so ridiculous that it is actually pretty funny.

    So you would say:
    Konohamaru:
    Ninjutsu: Kage Bunshin Shuriken Jutsu
    Ultimate: Ultimate Rasengan

That would be totally cool by me! Konohamaru deserves a lot of credit and to be honest, I like him more than the older Naruto as Konohamaru reminds me of the old, younger Naruto who was full of high spirit! I miss that in the new, adult Naruto.

There was this OVA of Naruto vs Konohamaru at this Chuunin Exam: now that was a great showdown between Naruto and Konohamaru! Furthermore, he showed his skills yet again like he did against Temari in Naruto Shippuden episode 234!

    Addition to my previous post:
Make Genjutsu change the field and let the Genjutsu user be invisible to its opponent. The only way to break the Genjutsu is to hit the genjutsu user so that the environment turns back to normal.

Alright I was planning on making my own thread about this but I guess there is one already here. So I guess I shall post my opinions here instead.

The Naruto Ultimate Ninja (UN) series to include the Storm games, is a fantastic franchise. I can honestly say I own every numbered console title in the bunch. I am also a lover of the DBZ games and several other fighting franchises. While the series is easily one of NamcoBandai's best titles, there is still much room for expansion and improvement. Myself and several of my friends who are big fans of both fighting games and the Naruto franchise as a whole have been talking about this and wanted to share with the developers and the community our ideas as to how to turn a pretty good fighting game into a phenomenon.
The first thing anyone is going to notice or care about when it comes to a fighting game is the control scheme. This in my opinion is somewhere that the Storm series falters on. While the combat is fun and fast paced, it lacks in complexity. Every combo in the game is executed by mashing the B button, with the only variation being one tilt of the analog stick. While it allows for the developers to create combos that look good visually, this greatly limits the player's ability to manipulate their characters to the fullest extent. Basically while the combos look cool, they don't challenge the players at all and they get redundant and unexciting after a couple matches. This becomes even more painfully evident when you have a friend who spends the entire match running away and throwing shuriken at you The single button mentality of the game greatly limits the player's ability to enjoy a fast paced and exciting combat experience, as getting close gets you stuck in an inescapable redundant combo and getting far away results in a boring shuriken spam. Or heaven forbid they use Deidara.
A simple remedy to this would be to increase the complexity of the combinations. Use more than one button while creating attack combinations. Have target areas to hit, tilting the stick up while punching performs a high attack, tilting down hits low. Simple variations like this excite the players as they feel like they are using their own skill to clash with their friends or online opponent if that is the case.
Continuing down the line on our combat system, we have Jutsu, Ultimate Jutsu, and Awakening modes. This is somewhere that the Ultimate ninja games shine, but the Storm games suffer. In Ultimate Ninja 1-4 each character had several of his/her own ninja techniques unique to their personality and fighting style. These techniques were interchangeable during character selection and in the case of UN3 they were even teachable to other ninja. This was lost in the Storm games as each character was left with one unchangeable battle jutsu and one ultimate. In rare cases like Naruto and Sasuke they had an entire separate character made for different move sets, but most characters were left painfully left out to dry. The customization available to the player in earlier titles is simply nonexistent in current titles. This gives players little excuse to play anyone but Naruto or Sasuke.
On a similar, yet separate note, we have the awakening modes. For some characters this worked out incredibly well. Naruto's fox forms, Sasuke and Itachi's Susano'o and Danzo's ability to hurl giant wind scythes at his opponent. However some characters were left with nothing but a blue aura and a tiny power boost. In the early UN games activating Sharingan copied the opponent's fighting style, and Byakugan drained chakra and Choji's food pills made him skinny and gave him wings. None of these buffs are present in the current games, and many characters to include God Realm Pein, the main villain up to the current position in the games, ended up with a blue aura and nothing else for an awakening. Simply put, if you want to make awakening mode wildly over the top for some characters, it has to at least be a worthwhile option for everyone else.
Moving on from the battle system we move onto the hub world. If we ignore the fact that UNS: Generations was a $60 character pack, the Storm games have been known for their hub worlds. The Naruto franchise has an amazing world ripe for the exploring. There are several unique Villages each with their own unique ninjas and ways of life. Continue to explore these. Many fans of the franchise have dove deep into the lore of the series and created characters and stories based in many of these villages. Give them the opportunity to see where their characters live. And even for those players who are strictly interested in canon events only there is still a whole level of immersion that is created by expanding the hub world and seeing what the world of Kishimoto has to offer.
And that brings me to my next point. With the advent of the 4th Great Ninja War, we see the most powerful ninja from the past clashing with the new generation of ninjas from all over the world. This leaves a perfect opportunity for developers and players to play with their imaginations. The manga does a very general skim over the events of the war, covering only the events that take place with a few key characters. Why not take advantage of this. Tell the stories that the manga misses, Hiashi and Neji vs Hizashi, Sai and his brother, Sakura and Chiyo.
This also makes room for exploration with new characters. Of course we are all familiar with how badly Ultimate Tenkaichi flopped, but that was due to a poor combat system and lazy developers. If the development team is willing to invest the time and effort necessary into a decent character creator it could easily become a phenomenon. Character creators are asking a lot, and risking making a mess of something that is fine as it is. However if time and effort is expended, i.e. a full story that makes sense, a large number hairstyles and clothing, Clans and Kekkei Genkai, and balanced and original move sets, then it can easily be a huge success.
And finally we get to the character roster. There are a lot of characters in this series that should already be in the game and a lot more that are introduced in the War. The thing the developers will need to keep in mind is that there is more to this series than Naruto and Sasuke. There are countless characters that have untold or unresolved stories, and many with decent fan bases but no screen time. Then we have the characters that were in previous games that havent returned (*cough*Hanabi and Green beast Naruto *cough* ). We have some other Major Characters hitting the big screen with this game as well, Madara Uchiha, Kinkaku and Ginkaku, Hanzou, and the Jinchuuriki. For the love of Ramen, please don't make Madara into another Sasuke. I'll include at the end of this post a list of characters I would really like to see added.
All in all this game series has been good, but with effort and attention it can be a lot better. I hope you guys take this review and the suggestions I made into consideration while developing the next game. Hopefully this game will be even better than the last few.

    Thanks for your time,
    VorianRob

Characters I would like to see added to the next game:
    Hanabi Hyuuga (young)
    Hanabi Hyuuga (Teen)
    Hiashi Hyuuga
    Hizashi Hyuuga
    Green Beast Naruto
    Might Gai (young)

    All the undead Kages

You do know that a wall of text like that is a bit hard to read, yes? I read it, sure, but it was a bit of a pain. That aside, you make some pretty interesting points.

First of all, I agree the controls are simple and not really complex. This makes the game easier to access for new players, but knowing the controls doesn't make anyone good at it, not at first. I guess you could say this game is very easy to learn but quite difficult to master. I guess the controls could be tweaked somehow, but I'm fine with the way they are now. As for shuriken spam, yes, that can get a bit annoying, especially with Deidara, but there are ways around it. And if someone spams shuriken, well, that just means he's not really really good in the game, if ya ask me. But no one did, so let's move on.

I've discussed about the Jutsu and Ultimate topic many, many times earlier, so won't be getting into too much detail. Basically everyone wants more Jutsus and Ultimates for every character. As for characters having other character's Jutsu, well, then it would make for even more cheaper characters than they are now. Imagine everyone's favorite character, Deidara. Picture yourself dashing through his ranged combo, only to get a Rasengan or any type of close range Jutsu when you get close. The more you think about that, the more it sounds like a really bad idea. In the offline free battles it might be cool, but never online. As a side note, I hardly ever use Naruto or Sasuke. The newest versions are just so cheap and overpowered it's not even funny anymore.

The awakening is made ridiculous by some of the characters having way too overpowered awakened forms, while most just get the power boost, which isn't tiny, but not worth the sacrifice of losing supports and items. If they are going to keep the old awakenings, then balance it out with the normal awakenings not losing their supports or items, and take away the ridiculous guard break from the overpowered ones. Also, something needs to be done about the guard stun with the Susano'o's combos, meaning that you must be able to get out of the way after blocking a hit, no be locked in to place, forced to use all you subs if you don't want your guard broken and losing half your life. Guess that's all for now.

Generations was not a character pack. It made the fight system more fluent and fast paced, prevented a lot of the cheap spam tactics, added more modes to the versus and online mode and included a ton of old and new character's. So yeah, everyone who still say that can... Well, I don't know. You think of something.

I really don't care about the Story mode, so got nothing on that subject for now. As for the character creator, I say no. I don't see any way it would be a good addition in Storm 3. None.

For the roster, yeah, more time could be spent on characters other than Naruto and Sasuke. They are on my least favorite Naruto character list (as if I had a list), and I almost never use them in the game. But Hanabi and and Green Beast Naruto? Hanabi was anything but useless, and GBN was funny, but ultimately a waste of space. Maybe that's just me, but still. There're too many characters that people want, but would add nothing to the game, except that they would be in the game. I guess I can understand this, but there is no need for useless characters that hardly anyone will ever use.

I think the developers should focus more on the gameplay aspect, rather than adding all the characters and Jutsus everyone keeps demanding. Don't get me wrong, I'd love the new characters as much as the next guy, but there are priorities. I love the UN and Storm series, and I have high hopes for Storm 3. Hopefully they will put thought and work into this, just like they have to this day. And I don't think the developers are looking at these forums, so... Yeah. Hope this'll spark some life to this site.

    I'm done.

Please do not quote the spam messages, or if you really must at least remove the links from it. Also, I believe these are the workings of a spam bot. I don't think anyone would go writing this stuff, creating new threads just for this. It is frustrating nonetheless, can't disagree there. Just ignore them, they'll be removed.

Against spammer, i would like if we can apply somethings on the spammer name, like a "spammer token". To prevent is next opponent.. And prevent xbox live or PSN to block is online game until he do a sorry page... Something like that to prevent spammer
