Seeing Death

Darkness. Stuffy air. Sound of police and ambulance sirens echoing in her head. "AIR!" A girl screamed lifting up her two arms, thus pushing off the black folia on top of her. She found herself in a middle of a place full of police, couple of wounded people and paramedics. All eyes were now focused on her. She looked at each one of them, standing up from the ground. "I thought you said her pulse was gone!" An older, gray haired policeman walked up to the paramedic closest to Raichel at that moment. "I-I... She was dead, I swear!" The frightened young man exclaimed, backing away from the girl. The cop just sighed, pushing the paramedic away from him violently to approach the girl. "I am truly sorry miss, are you alright?" Raichel did not answer, she just kept looking around the mass of people surrounding her. "Miss?" The cop questioned once again, placing his palm on her shoulder. Instantly, she slapped his hand away, walking away to the left. "Hey! You need to get checked, out... Miss!" The cop shouted, but she ignored him completely. She walked over to another supposed-to-be-dead body that was covered in the same black folia she was. She took it off from the person. There lied a younger pink haired girl which seemed rather peaceful. Raichel slapped her hard, and the girl's eyes shot wide open. "What was that about!?" The girl exclaimed while sitting up and holding her rosy cheek. The faces of the crowd around them now got even more shocked. "Both of you girls, really, we need to get you to a hospital to check if you are fine-" The cop was persistent, and walked up behind Raichel once again. The girl just rotated her head towards him, glaring at the old man over her shoulder "We are perfectly fine." Just as she finished her sentence the man collapsed to the ground. "Raichel, what the heck!?!" The younger girl screamed at her sister. "We are free Mina. We are finally free." "Free? What the heck are you talking about?" Mina questioned, standing up as her sister was already walking away, and soon enough was lost within the crowd. All the paramedics were now around the dead body of the man, all utterly confused and trying to bring him back to life. Mina suddenly felt very scared and insecure with all those people staring at her. She turned around and ran off as fast as she could, pushing her way out of the crowd. Now, people could only hear the fading sound of her high heels slapping against the pavement.
As she was running blindly, she heard a painful scream coming from an ally. She slowed down and stopped, looking towards the ally it came from. Slowly she walked towards it, only peeking into it from around the corner. She saw two males... only one was dead on the ground. She looked at the murderer briefly then quickly turned around the corner so he wouldn't notice her.

Daniel, or, the young man, held his head with his hands, squeezing his fingers into his thick hair. He rested his eyes halfway, and his smile gently faded back to nothing. "..." With no comment or reaction towards anything he had just done, he turned around slowly and was about to walk away again, until he felt someone's faint presence behind him. His eyes increasing dramatically in size, Daniel twirled around in a quick manner, and sprinted down the alley to go pursuit his little stalker. "Witness..." he growled.

"Fudge." The girl whispered to herself. Yes, she was odd like that.. not even in the worst situation did she cuss. She heard the running footsteps get closer and closer with every moment. She had no other option than to start running herself. It would have been smarter if she took off her high heels, but she was overwhelmed with panic. She ran, but was quite slow, focusing more on not falling down than running away. Once she felt the young man getting closer she just started running as fast she could. Sadly, she was wearing a long white dress and had to hold it up with her hands so it wouldn't drag on the ground. At one point she let her dress slip from one of her hands thus stepping on it and falling face down.

"It's all over..." Daniel grinned, coming to a gradual stop. "Now let's have a look at that pretty face." he murmured, expecting her to turn to him, so that he could get eye-contact. But at the slightest glimpse of her, her identity sprung into his mind. Speechless, Daniel just thought, "...Mina?" Hiding his glowing eyes with one of his arms, he wondered, "I can't kill Mina... but... if she saw me, do I really... have a choice?" Grinding his teeth against each other in a frustrating growl, he asked, "Mina... tell me... did you see what just happened?"

Mina did not recognize the voice or anything, she was just too scared of getting killed now. She collected her thoughts a little, slightly pushing herself up the ground. She did not speak, nor move from her current position. She just tilted her head towards him reveling a portion of her profile. She noticed he had his eyes covered with his hand and instantly she pushed herself off the ground, turned to him and tackled him down grabbing and pulling his hand away from his face so they had direct eye contact. His eyes were glowing too... and just after a brief moment, everything was white. She just now realized it was Daniel. She didn't even listen to him while he said her name. Everything went back to normal now, and her sight was back. She was holding Daniel down, still staring into his eyes. "NAHA! DANIEL! DON'T DIE! I DIDN'T MEAN IT!" She screamed like a child placing her open palms on the man's cheeks and pressing his face, then lightly slapping him from both sides.

"No... no way." Somewhat bewildered, Daniel held onto Mina, while standing up, and brought her up with him. Holding her in his grasp, he asked, "How do you have the power too?!" At that moment, his eyes ceased to continue glowing. It seemed he no longer had any intention whatsoever of killing her.

"Err, I...." She paused, looking ahead down the street blankly. She started lifting up her hands weakly supposing she should hug back. She just tapped his back gently a couple of times. "I was with Raichel in our limo...and we hit into a bus...." Her eyes shot wide open at one moment as a flashback of the accident appeared in her mind. She remembered she was with her parents as well. "... My parents...." She whispered before she violently struggled herself out of Daniel's grip and started running down the street back to the location of the accident. She kept stumbling on her dress several times, very close to falling, but she still kept trying to run as fast as possible.

"Hold on, wait!" Daniel panicked, chasing after her. He could catch up without a problem, but since he was just murdered, and left without answers, he was swaying a little. "I still have some questions to ask you!" he continued, before they left the alley. "Crap, I can't stray too far from the killing... that highwayman still has my money." he remembered, slowing down his pace slightly.

The accident location was just down the street, so Daniel could clearly see her even when she would reach the place. Once she did, she slowed down, breathing heavily. The crowd has cleared away and the paramedics were just wheeling in some of the dead bodies. She rushed over to them, without questions or anything started ripping off the folia covering the dead bodies one by one. "Hey! What do you think you are doing!?" One of the men shouted, confused by the girls actions. She froze in one moment, staring at one corpse of an older man. She fell down to her knees whimpering and crying loudly. "FATHER!" She screamed through tears, holding her head. One unlucky paramedic walked over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder "Hey it is going to be alri-" He didn't even finish, Mina turned to him with her eyes fully glowing and he just dropped dead. "It's not..." She whispered, standing up and continuing to search around all the dead bodies... and it wasn't long after she found her dead mother as well. "No, no, no, no..." She repeated to herself standing above the corpse staring it down with her blue eyes wide open and her face completely soaked in tears.
"She is quite pathetic no?" A voice was heard from behind Daniel. Raichel. She was just leaning on a car a few feet behind him with her arms folded. "I think you should go calm her down before she kills more paramedics." She said while chuckling silently. A truly devilish grin wouldn't wash of off her face.

Daniel turned to look at Raichel. He squinted at her for a moment, but being his very self-preserving self, he simply went and dashed through the people, quickly making it to Mina. Not without not activating his eye power, though, just in case. "Mina, I think it's best we leave here for now..." he whispered before approaching her, so that nobody around could hear.
