The night sky full of cries
    Hearts filled with lies
    The contract
    Is it worth the price?
A soul pledged to the darkness
    Now I've lost it
    I know I can kill
The truth exists beyond the gates!

    Important information

-This Role Play game is based off of the anime "Darker than Black".
-Not anyone can join, only those who get an invitation through PM.
-The location is Brasilia, Brazil, South America.

    Plot

-Heaven's Gate appeared four years ago. Ever since, contractors and dolls were starting to appear. The government was still clueless about these unbelievable happenings, and soon lot of organizations were formed, some investigating contractors and the gate, some having the goal to get rid of contractors, and some even having the goal to get rid of humans. Everyone knew this wasn't going to end well, but not many people talked about it.
CIA and OHG (Operation Heaven's Gate, future PANDORA in Tokyo) are both focused on merely uncovering the secrets of Heaven's Gate. OHG uses CIA agents to get more information about Contractors so they could research more effectively.
MI6 and the Syndicate both have the goal to eliminate the Contractors and are working in allegiance, but very little people in MI6 and the Syndicate are aware of the true plans of these organizations, therefor, a lot of contractors are working under them, not aware they are actually going against their own kind.
There is also the Brazilian police, who wish not to get too involved with all those secret agencies, but over time, they are simply all drawn into the never ending cycle of secrets and lies.
Evening Primrose is known just by a few people, but it's completely secret and for now little contractors know about this organization.
This story will be centered around a team consisted mostly out of contractors, their missions, their problems and their secret agendas.

    Chapters

The chapters are simply named CHAPTER I, CHAPTER II and CHAPTER III.
CHAPTER I is more like an introduction chapter, when the team is just formed and their first missions.
In CHAPTER II more personal problems start to occur, rumors of war start to spread around the country, and secret agendas of some characters are reveled.
And in CHAPTER III Those rumors are coming true, complete chaos took over the whole country and the team is slowly galling apart.

    Rules

    1. You can have as many characters as you please, the main one needs to be the one working for the Syndicate, and it cannot be a doll.
    2. If you are playing a Contractor, and if you have a godly, or really deadly power, your characters payment has to be almost as brutal as their power is. I recommend normal powers.
    3. You don't need profiles for minor characters, just for the ones you think you will use the most.
    4. All the basic role playing rules, such as no cussing, no spamming and so on.

    Name: Natasha Bimberg
    Alias: Gen (Meaning illusion)
    Age: 21
    Messier number:TI-403
    Current Organization: The Syndicate
    Ability: To create illusions.
Payment: To feel incredibly exhausted after using her power. The more times she uses it, the more she is tired and weak.
    Weapon: Pair of pistols.
History: Natasha was born in Santos, Brazil, and spent most of her childhood there. Four years ago, she decided to visit some of her cousins in Brasilia. Two days after her arrival, the Heaven's gate appeared. After realizing she became a contractor, she ran away from the place she was staying with her cousins, but never returned home ether. Of course, her aunt reported that she was missing and soon the police was after her. She kept running and hiding from them for a long time, but in the end, once she was really sick of it, she just started killing any cop that would come near her. After the massacre of 10 cops she had done, she realized she had to change her identity in the case of her family ever finding her. She dyed her hair purple, started wearing things such as leather jackets, biker gloves and jeans, instead of the long skirts, and white shirts she used to wear. And of course, purple sunglasses which are her trademark now.
A rumor has spread that a single girl killed 10 armed cops in the approximate time of three minutes. OHG came to the conclusion it was a contractors doing even though all the cops just had bullet injuries. In order to find more about her, they hired CIA agents to track her down, and capture her. One of those CIA agents was Taji Hime, a young twenty five year old man. He was actually working for the Syndicate, but was undercover with OHG. Once his team attacked Gen, Taji turned on his CIA partners, and helped Gen to kill them.
Taji invited Gen to the Syndicate, and she accepted. Taji's task to go undercover with OHG was done, and he was in a team with Gen, and another doll named Ria. Taji was the one who suggested Natasha's alias should be gen. He was from Japan, and noted Gen means illusion. Taji and her started a rather close friendship after much trouble. Taji was a human and she was a contractor. He always told her she mustn't lose her humanity, suppress her feelings or anything alike. It was quite possible the two had some sort of romantic relationship going on after two years on the team. Sadly, after three years, they were up against a large gang of contractors, both Taji and Ria lost their lives, while Gen managed to get away. The cause of their deaths was because all those contractors were very strong, and Gen, after using her power five times, was too exhausted to move and wasn't able to protect Taji nor Ria. The Syndicate didn't blame anything on her, they encouraged it, but she still has a slight feel of guilt deep inside of her. Now, she is handed out to a new team, whose leader is Taji's older brother.

    Name: Thomas

Alias: None, doesn't really have a reputation nor a signature calling card.

    Age: 23

    Messier number: GU-001

    Current Organization: CIA

Ability: Super-concentrated gravity bending. It's simple, he can't use it in a wide area like most other gravity using contractors. His is accurate to whatever he wishes to force it upon or decrease it. Using less gravity is usually for him while forcing gravity on a single target is offense.

Payment: Like in space, there id no air to breathe nor is there any gravity. So quite suiting his power, he has to hold his breath for extended periods. To the point of blacking out sometimes or close to ending his life. Normally it's against the human body to suffocate yourself, Mason has a very likely chance of suffocating himself now that he has become a contractor.

Weapon: He's kinda like a guerrilla soldier. Which is essentially he uses what weapons are around him - if any. The CIA has taught him thoroughly in the martial arts and how to use most weapons that he would find. Like all other CIA agents conducting "special activities". But if there's one weapon it's a SOG knife most commonly used in the Vietnam war. That is attached to his shoulder strap so it makes for easier removal.

History: Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Thomas never really was one for the city life. When he was younger, at least. His father used to take him up into the wilderness to go fishing or even hunting for medium game. So it's easy to see how he learned many survival skills needed to survive in that enviroment. Thomas didn't attend a public school, his mother actually got him into a private school and that's where he attended. When he was around 17, he started showing signs of becoming a contractor. When the CIA got reports of odd occurences suchs as a lawn chair with an old man on it floating up into the sky. Or mailboxes turned into balls of whatever material they were made out of. It took less than a year to weed him out of the crowd and he "died" on the way to his school with his mother and father...which shows how shady the CIA is. From there on they trained him into a soldier they needed. They trained him to NEVER be cought and squeezed for info. Since Contractors ALL WAYS talk their way out, they could not afford such leaks and so they gave him VERY little info and made little contact with him. The Syndicate lately realized his potential and of course got their shady hands on him. Although still connected with the CIA, Thomas conducts missions the Syndicate gives him every now and then.

    Name: Dusk

    Alias: Enigma D.

    Age: 22

    Messier Code: MZ-241

    Current Organization: Syndicate

Ability: Dusk can kill a person by looking into their eyes. His ability stops their flow of blood, ending their life. However, it can take them up to a few minutes to die, giving them a painful death.

Payment: Dusk used to use his ability rapidly, never noticing a payment that tagged along with it. Not until recently, that is. Since about a year ago, with every usage of his ability, his body suffers from a short portion of it. And with every further use, it becomes slightly worse. To sum it up, a fraction of his life is taken away, every time he uses his ability.

Weapon: Dusk only has a gun, and a small knife. The gun is never used to kill, though. It's usually just to paralyze a person. If he wants to kill someone, his first choice is his knife, and then his gun. His ability is always his last resort, and so, he needs to rely on his weapons. He also carries around other random stuff, but his gun and knife are what you'll always see him with.

Information: Dusk, and his younger sister Dawn, were born in the United States. After growing up and living alone, without their parents, they found out that their mother and father were in Brazil. So they took a trip down there to see if it was true. That was around the time Heaven's Gate appeared. When they got there, though, their parents had already been killed by Contractors, and Dawn was taken away. Through Dusk's eyes, the Contractors were the ones to blame for everything. So after becoming one himself, his fiery passion for the death of all Contractors led to the joining of the Syndicate. They didn't come to him, he came to them. And while searching for Dawn and working on a way to kill all Contractors, he goes on missions with his team. He doesn't know that he and the Syndicate have the same goal, though, so he has to hide his motives at all times.

Taji did the same thing, following the footsteps of his older brother. Shortly after the Gate appeared, they both got invitations from the Syndicate. Kaido refused, feeling something was fishy about that whole organization. He threatened Taji that he will cut all contact with him if he does join. Taji didn't listen, and he joined. Sadly the next time he saw his younger brother was on his funeral, three years later. Over the three years, Kaido tried finding out things about the Syndicate and even encountered some members, worked with them briefly, but he never got any good information. The sound of little kids playing outside, awoken Natasha from her peaceful nap. The girl sat up in her bed, looking outside the window, watching over the children. She seemed rather calm and collected, like she had no problem with it. Until... "GET THE HECK AWAY FROM UNDER MY WINDOW YOU LITTLE RATS!" She roared, sticking her head and arm out of the window, threatening them with a fist. All the kids ran away in a split second, and soon it was quiet again. The young woman just sighed, closing her window. She lied back down, started turning from side to side, flipping her pillow countless times, but she wasn't able to drift back to sleep. She tied up her long purple hair into a messy bun and got out of bed. The only thing she was wearing was an old, long, sleeveless white shirt, and she was barefooted. It was summer, and this time of year, it was incredibly hot in Brasilia. She opened her fridge, and took out a water bottle, drinking all of the water in one sip. Afterward, she walked to her front door and opened it. On the ground, there was a letter and the girl's face just turned dull. A gray envelope, and a light pink paper slightly sticking out from it. The Syndicate... She thought, bending over and picking it up. She walked back inside, closing the door with her foot while reading the letter. "It has been two weeks since your last mission. We hope you are doing well and will never make the same mistakes like you did with your past team. Today, at 3:00pm, at the end of the SantaMonica street, in the park, you will be meeting your new team members." She threw the paper into the trashcan, and didn't seem to be pleased with this whatsoever.
Half an hour later, she walked out of her flat. She was wearing black boots that reached a little beneath her knees, dark blue jeans, large black belt, white shirt and a sleeveless leather jacket over that. She put her dark purple sunglasses on, and headed down the stairs. The SantaMonica street wasn't too far away from her apartment building, so it wasn't a long walk. Soon she reached the destination, but found herself alone in a deserted park. She just walked over to a swing set and leaned on it, folding her arms, and was just waiting for somebody to arrive. It was hot, she didn't sleep well, and she was grumpy. Horrible day to meet her new team.

Being in the South American areas these past years, Thomas LOVES to hear the foreign sound of the hispanic music. He was in a fairly beat down car, two seats front and back with maybe a third in the middle on the back. Of course, he blasted the music of the are on the inside while he slapped the top of the steering wheel with his palms. He wore khaki pants with a a only a khaki shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pack of cigarettes in the folded sleeves of his left arm. Standard boots all tied up nicely, Thomas blended in fairly well. Lack of hispanic accent kinda gave it away. Coming to a creaking stop of the brakes, the young man turned the engine off and yanked the keys out before getting out quickly. Also taking time to slip on some Oakley sunglasses, Thomas surveyed the area before slamming the door closed and heading over to where he saw a lady. Her boots were a DEAD giveaway to him. "You're going to get some fungus, I'm sure." The guy said, adhereing to a obvious lying tone of voice. Normally he was toneless and emotionless, but here in this country it saves your life not to be a Contractor.

"What in tarnation?" a random passerby wondered, scanning Dusk's body like a computer anti-virus system.

"This is why I hate Brazil..." Dusk thought, heading towards the park at a moderate speed, with his hands in his huge, stuffy coat pockets. "...It's hotter than an oven down here, and people say "tarnation"." It was true. Especially since he was wearing a large coat for the mission. He was burning up, like the sidewalk he stepped on. "Huh?" Glancing up to see Natasha and Thomas, a frown appeared on his face, saying, "And I'm the only one dressed for the occasion..."

Natasha looked at Thomas, lowering her head with her sunglasses sliding down to the tip of her nose. "Well I can't run in sandals." She replied, staring at the young man approaching. How are we supposed to know.... She thought, looking around and noticing Dusk from afar.
"WELL, WELL, WELL!" A shout was heard from somewhere higher. Skull jumped down from a tree, inches behind Thomas. "You are all in time. Good little beasts." The man said with a smile looking at Natasha over Thomas'es shoulder, then glancing back at Dusk "Hurry your arse up, D"
Gen stared at Skull with unpleasant vibes coming from her. He was loud, and she didn't like that. He called her a beast, and she liked that even less. Once they were all quite near each other, Skull cleared his throat. "Well then, Natasha, Thomas and Dusk. Or, TI-403, GU-001 and MZ-241... Or Gen, Thomas and Enigma D.... Jesus, what is with you and a thousand aliases!" The man said shaking his head slightly and sighing. "My name is Skull. I will be your team leader for god knows how long... So lets start with a small introduction from everyone! But keep it short, we have a mission to do soon." He said lively smiling, while all three of them were dull as dull can be. "Aren't you a lively bunch. Well anyhow, I have been working for the police for three years, and now after two invitations, I joined the Syndicate, after my younger brother died." Silence. He sighed, and looked at Natasha "Come on, your turn."

"This is so pointless." The girl complained, unfolding her arms and fixing her sunglasses back up. "My name is Gen. I worked for the Syndicate for four years. My ability is to create illusions."
"Well you sure got me serious when I said keep it short..." He said, smirking, then looking at Thomas, as a signal its his turn.

"I have too many? I'll just assume you meant them and not me." Thomas strolled over to a bench, that remarkably, could still be used. Although how many germs and parasites were on it could only be counted my some guy crazy enough or a contractor with the most useless power in the world. Eh, he took it anyways and flipped open the cigarette pack on his arm to retrieve the normally repulsive habit. "Thomas, of course, messier code GU-001. Former relations with the CIA before the Syndicate dragged me in and gravity-related powers." Pulling out a cheap, plastice butane lighter, Thomas cupped his hand over it and lit the item before stuffing it down the chest pocket of his shirt. "Next, mister Enigma D?"
