"...Dusk. Enigma D. MZ-241. Doesn't matter..." he said, closing his eyes. "My contract?" Opening them back up, he answered, "I can kill people with eyesight, at the cost of losing a fraction of my life, every time." It became silent, and a giant, fat, annoying bird flew by, chirping as if a human were trying to make a bird noise. "...that's all." Dusk finished.
"Wasn't that fun?" Skull said sarcastically. "Well then" His look shifted down to Thomas "Get that smoking arse up, and get moving." He handed a peace of paper to Gen, saluted the three and rushed off to his car, soon getting in and driving away with much speed.
Gen stared down at the paper. She lifted her look up twice, once too look at Thomas, the other time to look at Dusk. "Dave Roberts, Rio Street, save his life.... And a smiley face." She said, staring down at the paper blankly. "WHAT THE HECK!?" The girl roared suddenly in anger, resulting a lot of birds to fly off from the tree above her. "What kind of a leader is he!? What does he think we are, detectives!? Jesus!" She brushed past Dusk and started walking down the street "Come on!" She shouted back to them, still having a negative aura around her.
Skull wasn't alone in his car. He was sitting next to a woman, which was probably in her 40ties. "Do you think they will handle it?" Skull questioned, driving. "If they don't, they aren't worthy of being in the Syndicate. This mission is just a test for their team abilities, their smarts, and their skills." The woman said, leaning on the window and smiling.
As the three entered Rio street, it was empty. Not even a parked car was there. They could hear some noises coming from an ally, and Gen decided to go towards that. She peeked inside, and saw a gang of men, all smoking weed, laughing, and drinking. She sighed and stood at the enter of the ally. "Anyone here Dave Williams!?" She announced, looking at them. They grew silent, but soon afterwards they started whistling at her, throwing vulgar comments about her looks and such. She didn't notice though, that there was a young boy in the back, who had duck tape over his mouth and was all tied up. He was trying to shout, but it was impossible.
Thomas didn't really give a crap about their leader OR what he brought. Insults and harshness bounced right off of him. Contractor reasons. Thomas actually found Natasha to be repulsive in looks so what those idiots where blabbering about didn't really hit him hard. Puffing out some smoke and moving around a little to get a better look at the guys, he spotted the young boy tied up and binded by rope. ".....You idiots harrass young boys? Maybe you might wanna consider a few life changes..." He lacked his knife and any firearms, all he had was his powers, fists and his mind. "But yeah, Dave Williams. Anyone see him? Dave Williams, s
Using Natasha and Thomas as distractions, Dusk somehow slipped in, unnoticed. "Dave Roberts?" he whispered, silently undoing the rope around him. "Don't worry, we're here to save you." he helped clarify the situation for him, while pulling his knife out, and cutting the rope, since it was taking too long to undo.
Gen was incredibly annoyed with the primitive men, trying to hold back her anger. She noticed Dusk in the back, but as well noticed one of the men stand up and crack his knuckles once noticing him. "Oh crap." She whispered, taking out two pistols out of the cases on her belt and pointing it at the man standing up. At that point, almost all of the men stood up, throwing away beer cans, joints and such. Natasha's eyes widened in shock once one's eyes started glowing in red. "It's a contractor! Da>>!" She exclaimed shooting blindly at the bunch. She injured a couple, but she just scratched them... and got them even angrier. One skinny blonde young man just lightly threw a rock towards the two, and it exploded. Natasha jumped on Thomas, and they slid back to the street, so they weren't harmed from the explosion. She stood up, dusting herself off... but now around 5 contractors were in front of them, and even more back in the ally where Dusk was left. "You go help Enigma, I'll take care of these idiots-" She didn't even manage to finish completely one of them charged towards Thomas, but she stood in front of him, using her power and the guy just stopped, staring blankly ahead. That made an opening for Thomas to run back, while Natasha turned around to the other four, pointing her pistols towards them.
Thomas let everything happen, no appreciation or gratitude shown in voice nor mind as he analyzed the situation and the best choices of action. A precise power like his was USELESS in a group of non-stationary targets. "Dusk, get him out of here, I got your back." No emotion all though at a higher pitch, Thomas slipped past anyone that stood in his way by slamming his fist onto one's neck and in a cheater-like fashion, swift kick to the groin. The one who took it in the neck would later die due to the swelling of his airways while the other wouldn't be getting up within the minute. When he looked at Dusk and them, his brown eyes turned a partial red as he slammed his palm to the ground. Everyone began floating up. Thomas springed forward and tackled Dusk and Dave out of the anti-gravity zone. "Go on, watch out for more," gravity came back and the men all fell back down, Thomas helping Dave and Dusk up.
Dusk nodded his head to Thomas, and picked Dave up, without any further reaction. Leaping off and hopping onto a dumpster, he managed to climb up onto a building with the boy, and sprung off. "Now, to meet back up with the others..." he said, keeping an eye on the ground, to search for a vacant spot to land.
Super speed. Fire manipulation. Flying ability. And bone manipulation She thought, observing all of their powers, while going backwards, dodging their attacks and shooting. Finally, the man with super speed tackled her down to the ground, trying to choke her. His breath stank, and his eyes were all red from the pot. "Disgusting." She whispered, losing her breath. She knew if she used her power once more it would cause her to be weak, and not able to use it many more times. Her goal was to use it on all of them at the same time. She gathered up the strength and got the violent man off of her, shooting him a couple of times in the process. "Three to go." She whispered, catching her breath and watching as one flew up, one's hands set on fire and one's ribs started extracting from his body, and he took them as weapons. She couldn't get them all to look at her at this point, so she started shooting the one flying above with one pistol, and the two in front of her with the other, while running backwards towards the corner. As the contractor flying above started soaring towards her she had no other choice than to use her power. She just moved to the side, and he landed right into the ground, still hallucinating. She shot him a couple of times, finishing him off. The two were still left, looking around for Natasha who was actually just hiding behind the corner. She held her hand over her mouth, trying to tone down her heavy breaths, since her payment was kicking in. She peeked out, and they spotted her, both running towards her. She pointed her pistols towards them, but her both hands were shaking and she knew her aim would be way off.
Dusk dropped from the sky, in front of Natasha, and the Contractors. Putting Dave down beside his teammate, he then had to react quickly, and use his ability. His eyes glowing as bright as fire, the two men suddenly stopped, unable to move. Only inches away from Dusk, they then both dropped, blood oozing out of their heads, and their eyes wide open in a frightened fashion. They died, soon after. "You didn't tell us what your payment was, Gen..." he said, pulling his gun out and rushing to go assist Thomas.
Thomas never mentioned his payment himself, but that didn't matter because it was too late and his breathing was getting a little fast. Making holding his breath a tough job, REALLY tough, but he tried his best to. The time he had to varies, sometimes whole minutes, where people had to perform CPR sometimes. Right now, he had taken out no one since helping Dusk and the target, they varied from big to medium, "come on guys, we just wanna make sure the little guy over there survives...friends?" Of course not, they charged at him with one actually using his power to make the ground below him cling to his form. Once done, his movements were slow and bulky but woulf pack one heck of a punch...one that would kill him, tear him up or even cause some serious internal injury. Others haven't displayed their powers so he KNOWS they would have to be close quarters. That or didn't want to hurt their big friend. "Can't use it like this..." Thomas panted some, sunglasses still in-place upon the bridge of his nose.
