"I don't think so..." Dusk exclaimed, taking the buff one out, with one shot to the head. "Let's go, Thomas. Our mission was to "save" the boy, not to mess around with the kidnappers. Now let's go already! Hey, Thomas?!" But before he realized something was wrong, the other Contractors wasted no time, and went in. "Gah, come on, what's with you?! Don't tell me this is part of your payment, too!" he growled, shooting to hold everyone back, but not quite hitting them.
"I believe it was Gen that decided to stick around and fight. Not me. Besides, did you really think you could take them all alone?" Basically making idle chit-chat, Thomas thrusted his hands forward and acted like he was grabbing at something. It was two of the agents, at least that's what he thought of them to be, and before they could react his eyes glowed again...what's next was a round orb of blood, flesh, bones and teeth. Which he toosed at two other members and blasted them with the vile orb. "We gotta kill them, it's too far to my car and I need to do my payment...!" Beads of sweat rolled down his face from the heat and his current state, but there was hardly any of them left. "Slow my heart, breathing..." The exhausted men chanted, standing still and letting Dusk handle what was left.
"Dave is back with Gen. She's paying out her price right now. Go back there with her, and do the same. I'll be there in a minute." Dusk told Thomas, before the remaining Contractors tried to escape. "Well would you look at that, I guess their brains aren't totally gone with the wind, yet." he said, chasing them down, out into another alley. "Look, I'm sorry you guys, but could you just stop, so that we could get this over with?" he asked, but continued his pursuit without an answer. "Fine, fine..." he decided, attempting to shoot at them. Hitting one in the leg, he got one down, but there was one more who simply ran on. "Wow, what kind of scum leaves their teammate behind?" Gunning down the final Contractor, Dusk approached the one who was shot in the leg, and stared down at him, with an expressionless look on his face. "It's sad." he spoke, sliding his gun back into his coat pocket. Watching the man quiver in fear, Dusk felt his knife, and closed his eyes. "...what? You're not going to try to negotiate with me? Or at least beg?" Reopening his eyes, and showing him his knife, he said coldly, "Good. Because I would have killed you, anyway..."
Gen was sitting on the ground, leaned on a brick wall. She was breathing heavily, with her arms lifelessly placed on the ground beside her.Her payment was slowly fading away and she was recovering. "Are you alright, miss?" The little blonde boy asked, standing in front of her. He stared over her with his innocent large blue eyes. Gen lifted her head up a bit too look at the boy "Yes, I'm fine..." She said, getting up to her feet. She took the youngsters small hand, and headed back to the ally. She felt relieved seeing all of the gang members were dead. "My flat is just a couple of streets down. We should take him there." She said.
The four of them were soon in her apartment. She placed the little boy on the sofa before walking over to the window, opening it releasing sun into the room. Then, she walked over to her drawer, taking out a tompus out of it. She leaned on the opened window, lighting the large cigarette. She did not pay attention to a police car parking on the sidewalk in front of the building. It didn't even cross her mind they were coming for the boy. Just a few minutes later, the doorbell rang. Sighing, she walked back to the front door, opening it slightly and peeking out. There were two men in officer outfits. "Good Afternoon..." Natasha said, exhaling a large puff of smoke in front of her. "Good evening" One said, taking out his ID. "You are under arrest for holding an German immigrant in secret" He said calmly, while the other man violently pushed the door open, grabbed Gen's arms, turned her around, and soon enough handcuffed her.
Thomas, Dusk and Dave were in the living room so they couldn't have been seen by the police officers, but they could very well hear them. Soon, the second cop marched into the hallway, heading towards the living room.
"You MUST be mistaken!" Gen exclaimed, looking at the officer that still held her arms roughly. "Oh no we aren't. He is just taking form of a child so he could hide. He also is carrying some very important government information with him." Gen's eyes widened "He's a contractor?" "Indeed." "What kind of information?" Gen asked, hoping to get at least something helpful out of him. Sadly the cop was not that naive. "It's none of your business" He said, pinning her to a wall violently.
Thomas had heard enough to make the rational choice. Before the second cop entered the living room, he had hidden against the wall. Dusk was in the open so it worked fine as a distraction. Holding his knife in a reverse fashion, Thomas was trained to do things like these. Part of his favorite "special activities" training back home. Back pressed against the wall firmly, the cop entered the living room and once he was passed Thomas, it was all over quickly. The special forces knife entered the mans neck from the side, perfectly suppressing any scream or anything to tip the other off something happened. Before his limp body could fall or make any un-ordinary sounds, Thomas firmly wrapped his arms under his shoulders. Looking at Dusk, Thomas had his sunglasses STILL on, so his eyes were hidden. The occupied man jerked his head down the hall, telling him to go help out Gen while he kept the dead officer.
"Would you let me go already! Or at least be a little more GENTLE!" Gen complained, still pinned to the wall roughly. The cop took out his pistol and pressed it to the side of her head. "You are one annoying B... How about I just kill you." "WHAT? You are a cop, Jesus Christ!" Gen shouted trying to break free. "So? I can say i was brutally attacked by a contractor and had to do it as self defense." The man said, bringing his finger closer and closer to the trigger. Just before he was able to shoot her, somebody kicked the door down. A tall, white haired woman in a black coat stood in the doorway, slowly shifting her head towards the police officer and Gen. In a split second, she took out her gun, shooting in their direction. She shot the man's wrist, resulting him to drop the pistol and back away. She walked calmly towards him, shooting him a couple of times in the stomach. She looked at Gen then. "Where is Dave?" The woman asked with a deep tone. "Why should I tell you?" Gen backfired, turning around. As Gen's eyes started to get just a slight hint of red, the woman lifted her leg up and slammed Gen in the face, making her hit the ground right next to the wounded cop. "Don't try using your filthy powers on me... yet..." Gen was still handcuffed and couldn't stand up. "I won't hurt you, unless you try to hurt me." She spoke up a little louder so the three in the other room could hear her. She lowered down to the wounded cop, placing her hand on his forehead. "There, there..." She whispered, as her eyes turned red. Although, no one could see that besides the cop. Soon he fell asleep, snoring loudly. As she was about to stand up, she heard some noise coming from his pocket. "Trey! Trey! Can you hear us? We're sending in back up!" The woman sighed and stood straight up. "I'll lead you to a safe place, this area is going to be flooded with cops soon." "Why the HECK should we trust you?" "Because. My interest is the boy, I don't need him hurt, but I also need you three to clear some things up." She headed towards the living room and stood by the wall looking down at Thomas. "If you don't agree..." Her eyes lighted up and she looked towards the table. It exploded, damaging the walls and the floor around it as well "... That will happen to you. I expect a rational decision." She just folded her arms, switching her look from Thomas to Dusk.
"Since when does a Contractor threaten someone she maybe needs? Not very rational." Thomas dropped the man he had and removed the knife with an audible sound emitting from the action. "Dusk isn't one to disagree, so lead the way."
"Good boy" The woman said as a satisfied yet sort of mysterious grin appeared on her face. She went over to Gen and placed her index finger on her handcuffs. Some sort of energy was released from the tip of her finger, breaking the chain in a split second so she was free. "Come on." The girl ordered rushing back to the living room window and looking out of it. It was clear, no cops in sight yet. She signaled the rest to come as she jumped out of the window and landed in the ground with ease. It wouldn't be a problem for anyone since the flat was on the ground floor. Leaving Gen, Dusk, Thomas and the boy jump out, she headed down the corner. She could see police cars down the street. Snapping her fingers all the dust in the upper part of the street rose up so it was impossible for the cops to see them run by. When the dust layered down, the five of them were already long gone from the area of the building.
They were now walking towards the outskirts of Brasilia, in which most gangs were concentrated. The woman payed no attention to a usual drunk or high man that would walk by and toss a comment... On the other hand, Gen managed to get so irritated she pinned a young man to the wall after he yelled a vulgar comment to her. "You disgusting beast, Ill rip you into peaces without even using illusions!" Gen roared in his face, while he was just laughing at her. "Control that stupid girl..." The woman said to ether Thomas or Dusk, she didn't care, nor even turn around, let alone go and drag her back to the group. She just kept on going counting on her teammates to keep track of her, basically.
For once in his life, Thomas became irritated at the pace and personality...if any...and since Dusk walked on it fell on Thomas's shoulders to handle Gen. "Can you please stop getting angered by this? You're acting like some school girl." Ringing his arm around her neck, the dark haired man dragged her away harshly. She could punch and kick but it didn't help, any attempts at more sensitive parts were deflected by a swift reflex of the knee to keep her arms at bay. Still, the position she was in made her have to hunch over thus giving the people behind something to look at. Eventually they past and got a respite from the harassment, with Dusk and the new lady a minor distance away. "So, what do you think of gramma up ahead?" Easing up and letting her go, Thomas decided to aknowledge the lady...finally.
"I'm not acting like a high school girl." Gen denied his statement looking to the opposite way from him. "I just don't tolerate idiots like that." She lifted her glasses up with her index finger. It couldn't be seen behind those purple shades but she shot an unpleasant glare towards Thomas. She sighed silently to herself, looking ahead towards the woman ahead of them. "I think I don't like her at all. For one, she is just repulsive and two, seems like she has multiple abilities, so we should be on guard." She said in a more silent manner, not really wishing for her to hear her every word.
"Gramma, eh?" The woman spoke up a few seconds after Gen finished talking. "The name is Tiara, if it makes it easier to refer to me." She didn't turn around, not even glance back at them over her shoulder while talking.
