who would win in a fight orochimaru or itachi

what kinda Q: is that. of course itachi. his sharingan is way to strong and his speed is INCREDIBLE. orochimaru has a 1 in a 9999999999999 chance of wining.

All you guys must be Itachi lovers or something. I am not very impressed by Itachi. All you people who stated that Itachi already beat Orochimaru, that is only half true. Orochimaru fought Itachi, but he was not trying to kill him. Remember, Orochimaru was trying to take over his body, and the only reason why it didn't work is because of the Sharingan's ability to reverse jutsu back on the attacker. If Orochimaru wanted to kill Itachi, he could have (the reason why he didn't was because he wanted Itachi's Sharingan).

Also, you must remember that Orochimaru (as with the other Sannin) has no kekkei genkai. Itachi seems incapable of fighting except with the Sharingan. If it were not for the Sharingan, Itachi would be very weak.

You also have to remember that both Itachi and Kisame fled from Jiraiya. Orochimaru is at least an equal to Jiraiya, therefore he should be able to beat not only Itachi, but also Kisame.

As for those of you who said that Orochimaru could not look into Itachi's eyes, or he would lose, I strongly disagree. The Tsukoyomi inflicts almost unending pain on the recipient. Some of you said that Orochimaru would lose because of that. You*must not have seen his arms being sealed. It looks like that was the most painful thing in the entire show. He walked around for months with sealed arms (he even fought while his arms were sealed), so it is obvious that Orochimaru would not succumb to pain.

alright you have some great points but if ya have been keeping up with the manga then you'd all already know the answer....im not gonna put a spoiler up but just saying that this question was answered way beyond what has been seen in america....so if ya really wanna know search for it

your right in some way but orochimaru could weakened itachi then take his body. there is no excuse orochimaru is weak and that is the truth.

They knew that they could not beat Jiraiya. Remember, Itachi told Kisame that he did not fight a war when Kisame wanted to kill Asuma and Kurenai. However, when Kakashi showed that he knew something about the Akatsuki, they tried to capture him. Only Guy's timely arrival saved Kakashi. Likewise, they knew that Jiraiya knew about their organization, but they didn't even make an attempt to capture him; therefore, it makes sense that they knew that they were no match for Jiraiya.
